I just finished watching Karl Rove trashing GOP Senate primary winner Christine ODonnell. It was on Sean Hannitys FNC show. Might as well have been Olbermann on MSNBC. The establishment Beltway strategist couldnt even bother with an obligatory word of congratulations for ODonnell. He criticized her character and rectitude and claimed she hadnt answered questions about her financial woes. She did so here. Rove mocked her security concerns as nutty. Yet, her concerns have been more than justified. See here.
Rove came across as an effete sore loser instead of the supposedly brilliant and grounded GOP strategist that hes supposed to be. Expect more Washington Republicans to start sounding like Tea Party-bashing libs as their entrenched incumbent friends go down.
At ODonnells victory speech, she invited a 9/12 patriot to speak. He sent a special message right back to Rove, recounting how Rove had met with Delaware 9/12-ers and Tea Party folks to try and convince them to back the more electable candidate. No one is going to tell us how to take care of business, the 9/12-er said he told Rove. And now, he observed, the more electable candidate Rove wanted them to vote for has been unelected.
The Freedomist reports more details of the meeting:
Rove Tried to Cut a Deal For Castle With Tea Party- Teaparty News- The Collier Brothers
Sources at the Christine ODonnell victory party revealed to The Freedomist that in December of last year Karl Rove met with Tea Party leaders in Dover, Delaware trying to get them to cut a deal in which they would leave Mike Castle alone and NOT support ODonnell.
The Freedomist has also learned that Rove was allegedly acting as an operative, although in what capacity it is not known, even as he is playing the role of a political analyst on Fox New in a fair and balanced way.
Nice Karl. Way to crap on the party base.
GOOD we need to take control of this election from this day forward - maybe the leaders will follow, maybe not.
We have a job to do!
Rove has shown he is over with then IMO.
Rove has never been a conservative and he gets too much credit for stuff here on FR.
IMO.
we got the conservative nominee, let’s everyone stop he infighting.
No one should be surprised that Rove/ Bush were establishment types. Elitism is annoying even among conservatives. Rove needs to grow up a bit.
Ah Karl you magnificent BASS - TURD!
Wow. Just Wow! I am learning alot this evening. Shocked and saddened by people who I thought were fighting the good fight. Open your eyes everyone!
That explains a little more his whiny vindictive self tonight, hadn’t seen that side of him before and I probably won’t again. My TV will go off if he appears.
He effed up Bush.....now this. I used to have respect for him. NO effin’ MORE. Take your ‘Pillsbury Dough’ and white board and MOVE ON.
Rove is a typical politico: it's never about principle and good governance. It's only about getting power.

Yep!
Michelle Malkin Pulverizing RINO Rove Ping!
Welcome to 3rd party status, GOP elites!
rove and the toe sucker (Dick Morris) are two phoney baloney power brokers who look pretty ugly when they’re out of power....
He was trying to “co-opt” the movement. Shocker.
Kudos to them for have more integrity...seeing as how Rove values character and all he must respect them highly now...
Yea...He’s off my Christmas list... Just another GOP power player...
EMAIL JUST RECEIVED
Team,
We’d like to share with you the statement issued by the Susan B. Anthony List tonight regarding Christine O’Donnell’s win:
ODONNELL GOP PRIMARY WIN DRIVES 3RD SBA LIST WOMAN CANDIDATE TO U.S. SENATE RACE IN NOVEMBER
Dannenfelser: Christine ODonnells win, combined with the successes of Carly Fiorina and Sharron Angle, continues building momentum for 2010 to be remembered as the Year of the Pro-life Woman.
WASHINGTON, DC Tonight the Susan B. Anthony List celebrated endorsed Delaware U.S. Senate candidate Christine ODonnells Republican primary victory over Rep. Mike Castle. The SBA List was the first national pro-life group to endorse ODonnell this cycle.
Christine ODonnells win, combined with the successes of Carly Fiorina and Sharron Angle, continues building momentum for 2010 to be remembered as the Year of the Pro-life Woman, said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. Christine ODonnells come-from-behind victory is evidence that voters across America are hungry for conservative pro-life candidates.
In all human rights battles, the messenger matters. As the late pro-life champion Rep. Henry Hyde once told me, it is absolutely vital that we have women in Congress standing up for the truth that abortion is the ultimate exploitation of women. But with no pro-life women currently in the Senate, Barbara Boxer goes unchallenged telling our pro-life men they cant speak for women.
That will change in the Senate this November when authentic pro-life women leaders like Christine ODonnell are elected. Her victory is part of a new pro-life womens movement making its way to the U.S. Senate. While her primary opponent held an explicitly pro-abortion voting record, ODonnell expressed her strong determination to be a vocal advocate for women and unborn children on the floor of the U.S. Senate, a stance which clearly made a difference at the ballot box.
Christine ODonnell will face Democrat Chris Coons in the November general election.
The Susan B. Anthony List plans to spend $6 million on voter education in the midterm elections, including $3 million on key Senate races. The Susan B. Anthony List is a nationwide network of over 280,000 Americans, residing in all 50 states, dedicated to mobilizing, advancing, and representing pro-life women in politics. Its connected Candidate Fund increases the percentage of pro-life women in the political process.

Rove see’s the GOP he and Bush molded bottoming out.
I think Bush left to his own beliefs would have done far better than having Rove along....
