How could someone whose loses the primary by such a large margin be more electable than the winner? This is an extraordinarily dumb argument. The composition of the electorate in a closed primary, is significantly different that the composition of the electorate in a general election. Democrats routinely run far-left nutbags who can win Democrat primaries in Conservative States, but do not have even a slight chance of winning in the general election.

I'm tired of the people in power eating cake while I'm squeezed to the bone. No COLA in my retirement check for at least two years because SS doesn't get COLA. Nobody talks about how the people behind the scenes tanked the world economy and are laughing at how much they stole from us, and now they want to kill us off with higher energy taxes, crappy medical care and death panels.

Its not a dumb argument at all. If you can’t appeal to your own base in the Primary, what good are you in the General. We went with the establishment “winnable” candidate in 2008. A lot of good that did.
