Agreed, but I can't help but remember how the MSM went after Clinton during the Lewinsky scandal. They'll only circle the wagons for as long as it serves their interests, but once there is blood in the water, watch out. The MSM's love of fame and importance outshines all else.
I know what you’re trying to say, and in truth the media did ask some pretty pointed questions. The problem is, Clinton could say the moon was made of donkey ears, and the media wouldn’t ask a follow-up.
Sure the media asked questions. Then when Bill would spout some nonsense, they’d say, “Oh Okay. We just wondered... See how tough we are public?” Ah, sure...
Remember Sam Donaldson with President Reagan. You didn’t get that kind of go for the throat follow-up coverage during the Clinton years.
