96 is a dang good run, especially when one stays healthy enough to keep working (maybe that’s the key!)
I liked McCarthy quite a bit in Weird Al’s movie UHF.
He was a master of the action film. From 1949s The Big Steal till 1979s Escape from Alcatraz.>>>>>>
He was Jewish but an action film director. Something you would not expect
I knew that from his name.
Here too....http://www.jewishbiography.com/biographies/list-of-jews/jewish-film-directors/index.html
Don Siegel also went to Cambridge University, England which was pretty darn unusual. Yep Siegel is a common Jewish surname
Very sorry to hear this. I rewatched UHF on Instant NetFlix in honor of his passing.
I thought you were talking about Kevin McCarthy. Check on him for a surprise.
Turns out Kev is Jewish because his mother is....
I can believe it. He looks closer to 46 than 88 in that photo.
A total “that guy” (for me at least). I know I’ve seen that face a lot but I never knew his name. I guess that can be a compliment for a character actor.
Scarface has got to be one of the best “that guy” movies ever: Robert Loggia AND Harris Yulin. A proverbial buffet of “that guy-ism”.
I glad I’m not the only one who remembers that series. I enjoyed it.

Part 1 of the TZ episode where KM played Jameson, who was almost immortal.
yep, 668-that’s it!!
