Is 9/11 Just Another Memory?
America Talks ^ | 9/12/10 | David Zublick

Nine years after the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001, a new Gallup poll has been released which portends a very dangerous set of circumstances as we continue to fight the war on terror.

According to the results of the poll, only 1% see terrorism as the top problem facing the United States. This is down from 46% just after the attacks. What does this say about us as a country?

A number of different factors could have contributed to the results of this poll.

Right now, the country is in a deep recession, despite the Obama regime telling us the summer of recovery has been a success. The unemployment rate stands at 9.6%, although that figure fails to take into account those who have either fallen off the unemployment rolls or who have given up looking for work. More homes are in foreclosure than ever before, with Obama's failed mortgage modification program only delaying, not significantly reducing home foreclosures.

The American people, although anxious for economic relief, are not confident about the second stimulus plan being hatched in Washington. Stimulus 2 would create make-work jobs which are temporary, and which will do nothing to permanently get people back to work. And Obama's plan to once again save people's homes will fail to deliver, as did last year's Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP). The idea was to encourage loan services to renegotiate the terms of delinquent mortgages, so that residents might remain in their homes rather than be foreclosed upon. But it didn’t quite work out that way. Instead, many of them were strung along for months, before ultimately either losing their homes anyway or remaining in limbo.

It will happen again.

Then there is the anger over Obamacare, the massive entitlement program which we now know will cost $115 billion more than promised, nearly wiping out the purported deficit reduction in the law.

These are the issues that are front and center on the minds of the American people. With these issues at the forefront, it is possible that national security has taken a back row seat when it comes to voter angst.

Although it is true that illegal immigration and border security have been major concerns, with close to 70% of the American people supporting Arizona's recently gutted illegal immigration law, many still do not associate the fight to secure our borders with the threat a porous border poses to our national security and the serious possibility of another terrorist attack on our soil.

Combine this with the new watered-down policies enacted by Obama and his minions, what with renaming the war on terror an "overseas contingency operation", and a terrorist attack a "man-made disaster", and one can see where an atmosphere can be created in which the fear level of an attack is significantly reduced in Americans' minds.

Another factor to consider is that it has been over nine years since that horrific day when almost 3000 of our fellow citizens were brutally murdered. Since then, with the exception of a few minor incidences (minor in comparison to the level of death and destruction that took place on 9/11), our country has remained relatively safe. This may have led to complacency, the kind which existed prior to that day in September of 2001, in which most in this country felt we were invincible. It couldn't possibly happen here, or so it was believed.

Have we returned to that kind of mentality, a mindset which made us vulnerable to the kind of attack that occurred just over nine years ago?

John Bolton, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, is so concerned about our lack of attention to national security issues, that he is considering a run for the presidency based on a platform of dealing with the threat posed by North Korea and Iran.

Bolton has reason to be concerned. Barack Obama has gone out of his way to reach out to nations which would do us harm at the earliest available opportunity. He has ignored the threat posed by Islam, the religion hatched in Hell which was responsible the attacks of 9/11. Bolton's presidential aspirations may never gain much traction, but the warning he poses should not be taken lightly.

It is imperative that we do not become complacent with regard to the issue of national security and the very real possibility of another major attack on U.S. soil. Nine years after the devastating attacks of 9/11, it is important to remember that should another attack occur, perhaps chemical, biological or God forbid nuclear in nature, the economy and health care will become absolutely meaningless. Especially if there is not one left to argue these issues with.

Let us keep this in mind as we head to the polls in November.

There is no such thing as moderate Islam.

All knowingly subscribe to Sharia which is a pillar of their societal structure.

When the founding fathers thought of America, their little baby, the last thing they wanted was an invasive force to stifle, smother it, and then overwhelm it and kill it.

Most people do not recognize that what happens in a mosque is sedition. Pure and simple. Islam is not just a “religion”, it is a cult. Larger than that though, it is a political system, it is it’s own government, a economic system (which includes funding new mosque construction), its judicial...all wrapped up in the word sharia. This is inclusive of its military (jihadis) all rolled into one with one intent ...and that is to rule wherever they take root. It is a invasive, systemic infection looking to take over the host once it has quantum.

This is not just a “religion”, but something that cloaks itself in those terms so it should not be given the same treatment contemplated under the first amendment. The Korans Sharia rules are to consume whatever government there is wherever it goes.
Islam is political, and it’s goal is to supplant and replace. Globally.

When the founding fathers thought of America, their little baby, the last thing they wanted was an invasive force to stifle, smother it, and then overwhelm it and kill it.

The sooner America learns this , the better. Some know and many do not, but it is a threat to everything America knows.

Obama? Obama and Company? Should be tried for treason in this issue for promoting the establishment of a foreign government on our soils. He is doing nothing to protect America as per his oath. Also, as a Muslim, he knows this, he know far better, he knows sharia, but is looking to deceive America.

I really dislike having my money or seeing other American money spent through VISA, HSBC, AIG et. al. products etc to prop up attacks against us through their sharia products.

Ya, a memory burned into my brain that elicits strong emotions, very strong... anxiety, frustration and anger. Especially since it seems that the end result of the terrorist attack of 911 is having its desired effect... the cowardice PC crowd in DC bending over backwards to prove to Islam we mean them no harm and by showing Islam we’re willing to cave on the first amendment so as to not make them mad, see Pastor Jones, and a President who seems to have more sympathy for Islam than America. Just a memory? I don’t know what “Just” is supposed to imply, a memory is a memory. If your asking, is 911 fading from memory?... WE WILL NEVER FORGET... and this November will be, part and partial, how we show remembrance... We will wait for the vote... in the mean time... God D—n you Barak Obama.

Right now, the country is in a deep recession, despite the Obama regime telling us the summer of recovery has been a success.

When the government refers to shit as 'success', I always think of Stalin and his 'dizziness from success' cop-out. With obama and his pals, I'm wary of their tendencies to promote everything that is harmful to our way of life as 'tolerance', 'service', 'reaching out', etc, etc. There is enough dangerous crap occuring right now that is not directly related to moslem terrorism to keep all of us occupied for a while. Let them blow something else up, and watch the priorities change again, instantly and thoroughly.
