Court documents obtained Saturday by THE WEEKLY STANDARD reveal surprising new details about the gender discrimination and wrongful termination lawsuit filed by Christine O'Donnell in 2005 against her former employer, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, a conservative non-profit based in Delaware.* O'Donnell, who is now challenging moderate congressman Mike Castle in the September 14 Delaware GOP Senate primary, sought $6.95 million in damages. In a court complaint, she extensively detailed the "mental anguish" she suffered after allegedly being demoted and fired because of her gender. And, although she didn't have a bachelor's degree until this year, O'Donnell implied she was taking Master's degree classes at Princeton University in 2003.
O'Donnell alleged in a July 1, 2005 complaint filed in district court that she had been demoted because ISI's conservative philosophy dictated that women must be subordinate to men. She claimed she was fired when she contacted the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission regarding her demotion. ISI told the Delaware News Journal that she had been "terminated for operating a for-profit business."
O'Donnell's finances, honesty, and stability have been called into question in light of her false and strange claims. The court complaint raises further questions on all fronts. O'Donnell, who made an annual salary of $65,000 at ISI as director of communications and public affairs, sought up to $6,952,477 million in damages, claiming, among other allegations, that ISI had defamed her and had violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. O'Donnell sought:
--Up to $3,952,447 in "Direct Damages, including back pay" and "lifetime lost income and liftetime damage to reputation."

Forget the opinions expressed in the story. Look at the facts, her own written and signed statements.
This is either a (by her own claim) a very unstable woman, or a serious scammer who is trying to con the conservatives.
I think this very well could backfire and benefit O’Donnell you know Rush and Levin are going to lambaste the GOP establishment for this 11th hour hit job.
What makes YOU think you can trust Castle? In a non-perfect world, do you vote for someone who has pledged and staked her whole career on supporting conservative principles or someone who has actually caste vote after vote to destroy conservative principles? Someone who has stated her views over and over, even back when such views were unpopular in state whose electorate you seem to have no respect for, or someone who sticks his finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing, and STILL takes the liberal path...on the second amendment...on health care...on cap and trade...on terrorism...on bailouts...on runaway spending...
So your strategy is to find a “strong” tea party candidate, real quick, before the election?
Maybe you’re just being sucked in by the elitists who will conjure up anything to keep believing Christians out of Congress.
It’s not anything to be ashamed of. Some very smart people have fallen for worse.
Since Castle actually has voted against Obamacare, and since he supported the GOP for leadership positions in the House, we know that we can at least trust him on those issues. In a State like Delaware, I’d rather take someone who will vote with us 50% of the time, instead of someone who will vote against us 100% of the time.
If this is true, then it sounds like she is not a real conservative.
Hell no Castle will never be great.
OMG what perverted logic,go ahead you can have Castle. But not me.
Some things require common sense.
Common sense would prevent you from falling for these smears against O’Donnell in the first place.
And common sense would inform you that O’Donnell is in zero danger of supporting cap and trade. If you lack even this minimal amount of mental ability, I will pay you cash to stay out of the election.
It would be worth it to prevent you from helping to bring harm to the nation.
I’ve had mental anguish plenty of times lately... who do I sue?
You might want to tell that to Rush, Palin, Levin and DeMint to name a few.
Whatever you do, don’t hold Castle up to scrutiny. It would ruin your ignorant support of him.
You gotta be kidding you don’t dare compare christine to sand castle. Its like obama vs. and unknown. You know the unknown “has” to be better.

I am so excited. I can actually HELP. We ALL CAN HELP!
I sure hope so AC,I have never seen so many dummies here in all my life.
She smeared herself. No one made her lie. The fact that she lied about such a mundane thing shows that SHE is the one lacking in common sense. The fact that you would try to cover for her (either because she is a poor little woman, or a purported conservative) says a lot about your common sense.
I don’t believe this last minute attempt to find dirt on O’Donnell is a sincere effort.
Whatever you people can think of to say, it doesn’t change the timeline (less than two days from the election).
And it doesn’t change the fact that Castle is pro-ruling class, while O’Donnell is pro-liberty.
