Obama commemorates 9/11 with appeal for tolerance

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama appealed to an unsettled nation Saturday to honor the memory of the Sept. 11 attacks by hewing to the values of diversity and tolerance. "We will not sacrifice the liberties we cherish or hunker down behind walls of suspicion and mistrust," the president declared.

Speaking at the Pentagon, where nine years ago a hijacked plane smashed into the west side of the building and killed 184 people, Obama conjured a solemn remembrance of that horrible day but also spoke strongly in defense of religious freedom.

"As Americans we are not — and never will be — at war with Islam," the president said. "It was not a religion that attacked us that September day — it was al-Qaida, a sorry band of men which perverts religion."

We need to tolerate the activities of an enemy of the state being protected by the First Amendment.
We need to tolerate SCOTUS candidates who have no difficulty using principles of Shari'a Law in adjudicating cases.
We need to tolerate the POTUS, SOS, and cabinet members promoting the exercise of Free Speech for enemies of the state, and chastise US citizens for exercising Freedom of Speech against enemies of the state.
We need to tolerate the "slow boiling frog" of Shari'a Law infiltrating daily life in the US.
We need to tolerate military commanders, who are sworn to uphold the Constitution, to suppress First Amendment Rights of US citizens.
We need to tolerate the suppression of Christianity and Judaism as Muslims are being held up as intellectuals and heroes while bending to all of their accommodations.
We need to tolerate being bullied by US officials and enemies of the state - which is getting tougher and tougher to differentiate.

When is enough enough? Is November here yet?

This year, the common bonds rekindled by the memory of the attacks threaten to fray amid growing suspicion of Muslims in this country and controversies about a mosque planned near ground zero in New York and a pastor's threat to burn the Muslim holy book._________ Am i reading that correctly? This year we are not remembering 3000 deaths but controversies over Muslims ,a mosque and burning of a holy book?????
