In a bold move that is likely to be much discussed in coming days, Fox News said today that it will not cover the burning of the Quran on Saturday if Pastor Terry Jones follows through on his plan to burn copies of Islam's sacred book.
The proposed book burning by the Florida minister and his congregation has become a topic of heated conversation and coverage with everyone from President Barack Obama to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and two generals weighing in.

Obviously people that want to view it will. It should be on youtube, that way, it won’t interfere with those that do not want to view it along with their other news. No one would even know about it, if the preacher had just burned it, recorded it, and not told anyone until after it was done. It’s pretty obvious that he knew by announcing it weeks beforehand, this would happen. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was receiving lots of donations for this stunt...done in the name of God.
Funny...that’s how CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC et al cover the burning of BIBLES. NOT AT ALL!!!
That's quite obvious. Now it's time for it to go away.
6 to 9 pm eastern
I disagree, it is news in my opinion. I also saw on Fox and Friends the other morning they were showing two dogs running down a road the video was taken from a helicopter, if that is news, this certainly is.
And how many donations and attention is the imam getting in NY?
I’d have more respect for Fox News if they also decided not to cover the story at all. If you’re going to cover any of it, you need to be there to run tape. Otherwise you look cowardly. Would they fail to tape a flag burning? Aren’t they showing photos of all the Islamo-idiots burning American flags right now?
When this story first broke I thought, “what a stupid thing to do.” But now after all the gratuitous pressure from Obama, the Pope, Clinton, even Angelina Jolie—I hope he burns the damn thing just to reinforce the importance of free political expression in this country.
Imagine if a Republican president cautioned lefties about burning a U.S. flag-—you’d never hear the end about the “chilling effect” this would have on free speech.
Burn it.
I don’t know, I heard they haven’t raised very much, not even 100k.
“...if the govt would get out of the way.”
.
The US and Saudi governments have been playing footsie all along. Why do you think we have so many Muslims in the country?
Let me see if I get this straight.
A news source has been reporting on news. Now they decide they wont report on that news. That makes so much news that another news source reports the news that a news source that was reporting the news will now not report the news.
I wonder if Fox News will have comments on the Baltimore Suns’s news that Fox News is not reporting new news on old news?
Maybe they’re right, and maybe they’re wrong.
But the last thing in the world I would call it is a “bold move.” If you approve, it’s prudent. If you disapprove, it’s cowardly. But it’s not bold.
Could this be related to the fact that the Saudis own a piece of Fox?

Exactly. It this isn't news, Fox isn't a news channel. They cover high speed chases and the most ridiculous "stories".
It's also on the Drudge Report.
Good for them! If the MSM hadn't chosen to make a story out of a non-story then Saturday would have been nothing more than a private bar-b-q hosted by a nut bag preacher and his equally nut bag 50 followers............
For what its worth, I'm attending a PIG ROAST hosted by my niece and her husband in rememberance of 9/11.....this will be the second annual event which will include at least 50 people........
Maybe I should call up all the local news stations and inform them of this anti-Islam party.........What the heck, we're entitled to our 15 minutes of fame aren't we?
Burn, baby, burn.
I doubt that their plan was to fire up patriotic Americans as they have, the overkill of their pant wetting panic and fearful cries to continue the cancer of self censorship in regards to anything related to Islam, have turned most of us into happy supporters of the burning.
I went from being against it to thinking that we need to start burning more of them and then start planning a weekly menu of anti-dhimmitude actions and bumper stickers, and flags to mock the enemy.
That’s been going on for quite a while I believe.
If the preacher hadn’t announced it in the first place, none of this would have happened.
Good for Fox News. This should never have been a story. Some RATS made this into something that it should never have been. Orchestrated lunacy.
And Youtube is a private company that can delete it.
