I know they said the tankers haven’t been up this morning, but one took off ( scouting/test run?) this morning around 8 ish. There have been at least 3 flyover in the past hour.
Yeap. News now reporting they are in the air, smoke is clearing. Possible high winds on the way this afternoon. Not good.
The tankers couldn't fly yesterday because of high winds and couldn't fly this morning because without the winds an inversion had formed holding the smoke in. Sheesh, we can't win. Sounds like they're flying this afternoon, though.
According to 9 News with the lower winds it's not spreading much today. Hope that's true.
