Yeah it was pretty strong in Seguin the “eye” went just west of us. Out by Lavernia lots of trees down.

Keep your headdown. And keep that water above the dam and not down river....lol

Laugh .. yeah - it is NOT pretty when the water goes over the spillway huh?

Seems the worst is over here .. I hope - in the middle of it the door flew open on our storage building .. a pretty old one ... the inner part came off and there’s pink insulation all over .. took my son a few minutes getting soaked to get the door latched back .. (the handle’s broken but usually doesn’t give us problems..) YUCK ... when it stops pouring we’ll have to go clean up the pink stuff... gross..

The only thing worse than wet insulation is.... Nope that’s pretty bad.

If that was the worst of this storm I can take it. We only lost electricty at the house once. So it wasn’t that bad. We ended up with 4” of rain so my Fall Garden is gonna be happy.~~so are the weeds :^(~~

Other than that, this storm is named Hermine. The Harry Potter character is Hermione Granger.

I know, but close enough, since who's ever heard of either name before HP or they named this storm.

The Austin area is seeing creeks flood with up to 12 inches or more of rain in the past 24 hours. One woman was pulled from Bull Creek as her car was washed away.

The main band of Hermine is just running up I-35 with non-stop downpours. Between Wimberly and Georgetown, rain gauges have shown between six and 12 inches of rain and the creeks now are no longer able to handle them. When daylight comes in about six hours, it will be interesting to see how bad the damage is.

Don’t know if it was Hermine - but it’s still coming down here off 281 in Comal County...
