We've had sooo much going on here at our house. Right after the election we were so disgusted and thought about it....and decided to put our house up for sale and leave CA....for Texas! We are very excited. It must be the right thing, because everything is coming together so quickly. We had the Open House on Dec 9 and by 12 12 12, we were in escrow. My b-day was Christmas and there's been one thing going on around here after another! Then our house appraised right on target and we close later on this month. Wild. I can't wait to be in our new town. We will stay in a hotel for a month while we look and await whatever home we buy's escrow to close. It is very exciting. We've done our homework...now it's time to move on!

Congratulations on your decision to leave California. There may be many more people following your lead. Sounds like a miracle that everything went as smoothly as it did. What an adventure you have waiting for you! We visited Texas for the first time about 15 years ago and I was really sad to have waited so long. The Hill Country was just beautiful. We’ll never get back but I have wonderful memories—especially of all the great pies!
