This photo was just published a few days ago. I don't know when it was taken, perhaps while President Bush was still in office or after he left office. But nevertheless, it is very moving to see him greet and hug the troops as they are on their way to fly out for deployment or going back home. Once again it just proves that he is a truly caring and good-hearted man.

First of all thanks for posting the photo, which was probably taken during President Bush's first term. The US military changed over the BDUs that are shown in the photo to the digital ACUs like this
in October 2007

Hi patty! I love this photo--and remember it from the time. (Our amazing Dose posters didn't miss many photos back in those good old days!)
My recollection is that GWB might have been in Maine and found out that that plane was stopping on its way to Iraq and asked to greet the troops. (Someone correct me if you remember otherwise.)
Can you imagine their amazement and delight? You are right, GWB is a truly caring and good-hearted man.

That photo was taken while GWB was still in office. He was greeting troops on their way to Iraq. It is, indeed, a very moving photo.

Just heart warming and wondrous. I had missed that one and cannot even describe the love and compassion therein. Thanks.
