A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | September 5, 2010

Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin

The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bush’s Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

Have you all seen President Bush’s promotional video for his book, “Decision Points” yet? I actually saw this a week and a half ago, but it became widely distributed all over the media yesterday and Greta Van Susteren played the video on her show last night. So, for those of you who haven’t seen it, here it is:

Thanks for re-posting the Decision Points videoclip — it’s already garnered over 50,000 views in less than two days on youtube (and the comments are incredibly positive)!!

Barbara and Jenna recently attended a UNICEF masquerade ball in New York City. You’ll find some FUN (and quite stylish) photos of the twins here:

Thank you once again, pattyvita! Great video - I'm going to put it on my FB page.

There were soooo many times, before and during W's presidency, that I was dealing with some tough stuff in MY life---and I would always look to President Bush and think...man, if HE can deal with THAT or THAT or THOSE PEOPLE SAYING OR DOING THAT, my problems are small in comparison. He helped me with "perspective" and I looked up to his strength and resolve to find some of my own.

I look forward to his book. The only "glitch" ...well the biggest glitch anyway in W's and my "relationship" was his stance on Immigration. I used to keep saying WHY is he doing this???? I live in a border state, this is insanity... I also look forward to trying to understand his decision on this issue. I want to understand his position.

AND...I sure miss this fine Patriot being in the White House!!!!

Wow, here's a chance to actually see GWB in person and get his autographed book if any of you guys live in or near Ohio (unfortunately I don't). Yes, President Bush will be celebrating Veteran's Day while Obama and his wife takes off to India on that same day and doesn't give a damn!

"President George W. Bush to be featured speaker at Veterans Day Tribute at National Museum of the U.S. Air Force"

Posted 10/28/2010

by Sarah Swan National Museum of the U.S. Air Force

10/28/2010 - DAYTON, Ohio -- President George W. Bush will speak during a Veterans Day Tribute at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.

The event will coincide with the release of his memoir, Decision Points, by Crown Publishers on Nov. 9. During the event at the museum, Bush will honor all veterans, highlighting key points in his book that involve the U.S. military.

Tickets for the event are free and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Individuals interested in obtaining tickets (limit is two per person) must pick them up in the museum's gift shop beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 1. Tickets will be distributed until 4:30 p.m. (or while tickets are available). After Nov. 1, please call (937) 904-9881 to ensure tickets are still available.

To expedite the process, please bring your completed registration form, which is available at www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/shared/media/document/AFD-101027-046.pdf. Forms also will be available on site on Nov. 1. For security purposes, social security numbers and dates of birth are required for U.S. citizens attending the event, and non-U.S. citizens must provide valid passport numbers, places and dates of birth. In addition, a government-issued photo ID is required for the person picking up the tickets. Additional information about the event will be provided to attendees as they pick up their tickets.

Those who attend the event have the unique opportunity to pre-purchase no more than two autographed copies of Decision Points, which describes the critical decisions of Bush's presidency and personal life. The cost of the book is $37.45 (including tax). Purchases may be made with cash, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa only. Pre-purchased books will be available for pick up at the tribute. Unsigned books will be sold in the museum store while supplies last.

In his book, Bush brings readers inside the Texas Governor's Mansion on the night of the hotly contested 2000 election; aboard Air Force One on 9/11, in the hours after America's most devastating attack since Pearl Harbor; at the head of the table in the Situation Room in the moments before launching the war in Iraq; and behind the Oval Office desk for his historic and controversial decisions on the financial crisis, Hurricane Katrina, Afghanistan, Iran and other issues that have shaped the first decade of the 21st century.

Federal endorsement is not implied.

The National Museum of the United States Air Force is located on Springfield Street, six miles northeast of downtown Dayton. It is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day). Admission and parking are free. For more information about the museum, please visit www.nationalmuseum.af.mil.

NOTE TO PUBLIC: For more information, please contact the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force at (937) 904-9881.
