The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
Aww...thanks so much for the kind words! I just do what I can to provide some happiness on this thread.
You’re very welcome Sacajaweau. You’re right. The values and good old-fashioned patriotism the Bushes unabashedly embraced have been sorely missing since January 2009.
My pleasure LUV. I love posting these photos that show our President in positive light. Even if it means spending countless hours researching and digging up the pics, then it’s worth it, right? Because the lamestream media isn’t ever going to take an even decent pic of Dubya. They present what they want the public to see, which is a very distorted and negative perception of him!
I know what you mean. How embarrassing to see that so-called president currently in office make a fool of himself taking selfies like a teenager while the Mandela memorial was taking place.
Meanwhile, President Bush and his wife conducted themselves as stoic and mature dignitaries as they were supposed to be. Hats off to them for behaving like grownups!
It is worth it and we all appreciate your efforts!
I LOVED the 6th linked picture...the profile of him waving.
Very GW! :)
ALERT: TRYING TO REMEBER A PERSON’S SCREEN NAME...
I’m so sorry I’ve been away soooo long. A member of our group contacted us this morning and wanted help with a screen name of another member of our group. I’ve been gone so long, I remember well, who she was referring to; but cannot recall the exact screen name.
* Anyone remember Mike’s screen name? *
He and his wife—mostly him though—would post here all the time. The were numbers in his screen name too. Arrgghh, I hate getting old! :)
Thanks soo much for all your efforts to keep this thread going, pattyvita.... outstandingly done!!!
mjy1288 ?
From my ping list. it’s the only one that comes close and the “m” could be for Mike. Hope y’all find this person. :)
