LOVE the photos — thanks for the ping!
Thank you, DrDeb, for these links. I’m always so happy when our wonderful President GW Bush receives warm and genuine recognition from grateful citizens. Wishing he would give a speech in my area....sigh.
Thanks, jlyspio! Check out the pooch pic, Nordp ... ;)
Great job finding these links, thanks very much DrDeb!
Also, a short video clip of President Bush's speech from a local NBC station in Tyler, TX.
Thanks for the great pictures! He’s lookin’ GREAT!!!
Comes from clean living....”Mr. Hillary” has looked like
a dissipated drunk ever since HE left the white house!
GREAT photos, patty! Just like the old days when we had a real President!
Thanks for posting these. :)
What a beautiful photo that second one is! Is that the puzzle? Cause I’d be happy to put it together. :)
The video coverage of his famous and quite dangerous surprise Thanksgiving trip to Baghdad early in the Iraq War was cropped. It had to be. The thunderous reception you see on tape went on for over twenty minutes according to a friend of mine who as in the dining facility in question. We noticed.
I've never read this before. God bless our troops, and their REAL Commander in Chief!
Fabulous !! An extraordinarily consequential
leader, now at peace in this next chapter.
http://www.squidoo.com/laura-bush-jigsaw-puzzle is the link. The one of the two dogs on the white house lawn was the puzzle. Sorry for the confusion.
Dallas Exhibit Gives Look at Bush Archives
###
A new exhibit will give the public its first glimpse into the archives of former President George W. Bush, including the bullhorn Bush used when he visited ground zero days after Sept. 11 and the pistol taken from Saddam Hussein when he was captured.
"I think they'll really love some of the interesting items like the bullhorn," said Alan Lowe, director of the George W. Bush Presidential Library. "There's such an emotional connection with these objects that I think people will have because they'll remember those points in history: remember what they were doing on 9/11 or the war in Iraq. They'll remember the day Saddam was pulled out of that spider hole."
Rest @ link
The free exhibit, "Breaking New Ground: Presenting the George W. Bush Presidential Center," opens Saturday and runs through Feb. 6 at the Meadows Museum on the campus of Dallas' Southern Methodist University, where the center will be built.

Woo Hoo! How many Dosers will find themselves in Texas in the next several months ?? ;)
I will, because I'm going home on R&R next month. Yeeeeehaaaaaaa!
(That is beginning to creep into my conciousness....LOL)
Git out the kegs, ammo and lemons .. LOL ..
How's the book coming ?
I saw part of a story on the exhibit on FOX; I wish I could get there. Does anyone know if they’ve started a GWB Presidential Library yet?
I’m not going to lie - I miss GWB. I miss having an American Man in the WH.
I had not read about the 20 minute ovation either, but it certainly doesn’t surprise me . . . Our troops loved their REAL Commander in Chief!
Hubby and I had planned to visit Dallas the week of November 8; unfortunately, work and family obligations have forced us to change our plans. We now hope to visit in the spring.
The Ground Breaking Ceremony is scheduled for November 16, 2010 — wish I could be there!

Heck, yeah! I received a picture of the lemons yesterday and they look ripe and ready for demolition.
How's the book coming ?
It's coming along. I'm still laying down the first draft (not sure of the ending yet...LOL) and will spend some time tweaking and refining it when I finish this mission and see what bites out there. :)
Take care - I'm off to study the insides of my eyelids for a few hours.
