President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations

Well, actually, she’s legally known as Lauren Bush Lauren because she still wants to keep the family name out of respect and also she doesn’t want people to get confused by calling her name twice! ;)
Thanks, dsutah. I do actually remembered Lauren’s wedding from last September. It was kind of disappointing that there was a lack of US media coverage about it. But I guess Lauren and her family wanted to keep the wedding ceremony under wraps and not make a big splash all over the press.
This is the one photo I could find of the Bush family together at the wedding. There’s probably many more we may never get to see.
President Bush rocked that speech yesterday. He definitely kicked butt. I get the impression that he is probably not very happy at the way Obummer has mishandled the economy and is also shocked how much the country has changed in the past three years he’s been out of office.
GW’s heart must be breaking now...can’t blame him. He should make more speeches like the one yesterday to remind the American public how good the economy was during his administration...low unemployment rate, millions of new jobs created, etc. It’s all because of his brilliant tax cuts. Dubya should go for it and not hold back!
He does have to be saddened at the miserable way this country is being handled.....as are all of us! Pray for REAL change in November!

Yesterday (Sunday, April 16th), GW, Laura, Jenna and Barbara attended two events in Dallas - a fundraiser to help raise money for Barbara’s Global Health Corps organization. Later in the evening, the Bushes hosted an invitation-only screening for an AIDS documentary called “The Carrier” as part of the Bush’s Institute global health initiative. Sounds like they had a very good time but also helped to raise awareness for a worthy cause!

In Dallas’s tony Preston Hollow neighborhood, businessman Tom Hicks’ 33,000-square-foot estate — the priciest spread in Big D — backs up, literally, to Hicks pal George W. Bush’s place. So the former president didn’t have far to go Sunday afternoon for an event at Hicks’ home that raised money for the Global Health Corps. GHC is a nonprofit outfit promoting “health equity,” co-founded by Laura and George’s daughter, Barbara Pierce Bush.

Former president George W. Bush -- with the help of his daughter, Barbara -- offered a glimpse Sunday night of the global health work being done in Africa by his presidential center's public policy arm, the Bush Institute.
The preview of sorts came courtesy of an institute-sponsored screening of the documentary, "The Carrier," a rather remarkable film about a Zambian family struggling with HIV.
The Bush family -- including the former president's wife, Laura, and other daughter, Jenna -- attended the event at Highland Park Village. And the gathering in part benefited Barbara Pierce Bush's Global Health Corps, which to aims engage young professionals in the field

Last Wednesday, April 18th, GWB traveled to Graniteville, South Carolina to speak to young golfers at the Junior Invitational Sage Valley Golf Club banquet dinner.
GW and Laura appeared at the annual Salvation Army board meeting dinner in Dallas last Thursday, April 19th.

Yesterday, Tuesday, April 24, the President gave a keynote address at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores meeting at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida.
Some well-wishers wave goodbye to GW as left the premises. He was sitting in the back seat of the SUV. Even though you can’t see him, pretty sure he must have been smiling and waving happily at the crowd!
Later, W traveled up to Souderton, Pennsylvania near Philadelphia where he spoke to a sold-out crowd at Plumstead Christian School's annual “Founders Forum” at Calvary Church. Here he is waving to children and residents outside Calvary Church.

GRANITEVILLE — Participants in the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley thought the golf tournament couldn’t get any better after last year’s inaugural event. Then they found out former President George W. Bush was speaking at the opening ceremony banquet Wednesday night.
“I’ve never heard of anything like that,” said George Cunningham, a 16-year-old from Tucson, Ariz., before Bush’s speech. “This is so amazing they can get that.”
Bush, the 43rd president of the country, elected in 2000 and 2004, is the honorary chairman of The First Tee. Proceeds from the Junior Invitational go to The First Tee, which supports initiatives for young people through golf, and last year $200,000 was split between the Augusta and Aiken chapters.

PALM BEACH, Fla. — Former President George W. Bush addressed attendees of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores' Annual meeting here Tuesday morning, followed by a question-and-answer session with new NACDS chairman Greg Wasson.
Wasson asked Bush to talk about the inclusion of prescription benefits to the Medicare program, which went into effect during Bush's administration in 2006. "It makes no sense to have a system that does not change with the time," Bush said. "The market moved, but the government system didn't," he said. "The benefit is Medicare in the first place. … To modernize it required prescription drugs."

Former President George W. Bush talked about faith, family and freedom to a crowd of about 1,200 people at Plumstead Christian School’s Founders Forum on Tuesday night.
Bush referenced his book, “Decision Points,” as he jumped from topic to topic in his speech and made fun of himself along the way, saying his critics “didn’t think I could read, let alone write.”
He said he was there to sell a book because “I’m living on a government pension.” It was “not a book to settle scores,” he said, rather “a data point for future historians.”

Did anyone watch Fox and Friends this morning, when they showed a clip of CNN's Piers Morgan interviewing the Dhalai (sp) Lama: Morgan asked him who his favorite president was and he replied President Bush. The left wing lunatic asked him which one and he replied the younger or the last one. I don't remember. Anyway CNN is showing the interview this evening. I am going to record it, because I want to see Morgan reaction
Thank you pattyvita for your faithfulness in posting these wonderful photos and updates of our beloved President, George W. Bush. He is a gentlemen of so much integrity that we will never know what he thinks of the current White House occupant and the devastation he has wreaked on our country. He and Laura must just be sick over this tragedy which gets worse every day. And now farm children are not going to be allowed to help on their own family’s farm?
We are in great peril. We can only pray that Americans will wake up before it’s too later.
