A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | September 5, 2010

Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin

The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bush’s Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

btw, the BDS talking point about Bush's causing Obama is either a sign of historic, factual ignorance, or an outright lie.

Not a good choice for you.

Not really. Bush created an environment that in many ways made an Obama possible. Any Democrat could have won in 2008, Obama just happened to be the one who said what people wanted to hear. The problem was the electorate as a whole did not bother Vet Obama and this is the result.

So much for all you said. You must deal with the reality we have.

That's nonsense, and a convenient fall back for a BDS'er.

You completely ignore the 8 years of lies about Iraq (which you obviously fell for) as well as lies from the media about everything else Bush said and did, a democrat-caused economic crash, a horrific candidate and poorly run campaign, billions of overseas dollars,a slobbering, fawning media that didn't ask one legit question about Obama, and a whole lot of white guilt and stupid kids who voted for the American Idol candidate.

Convenient of you to blame Bush for what the left did. I guess that BDS kills brain cells as much as any liberalism does.

The reality that you refuse to recognize is that President Bush is not the cause of all evil.

That, again, is a leftist pov, and one that anyone on this forum should be ashamed to share with them.

But you all do. You all hold hands with the left about Bush. Shame on you.

Thanks for the nice comments. Glad you all liked it. I wanted to create a birthday greeting that reflected President Bush’s fun-loving personality and I just used all sorts of bright colors and added some special effect tricks to make it look cheerful and lively. At this point, I don’t know if I can send this to the GWB Presidential Center website since his birthday has passed and it’s a little late for that. But I guess I’ll give it a try, it certainly wouldn’t hurt!

Gotta read this great article on Albania honoring our president with a statue of his likeness. Unlike many of their socialist western European neighbors, the Albanians love President Bush. They admire a real leader who was not afraid to fight against evil and tyranny which they experienced themselves. Good for them!

Bush Gets Bronzed In Albanian Village Tribute

A tiny Albanian village that US President George W Bush visited in 2007 has unveiled a shirt-sleeved statue of him, in a square named for him.

The 9ft tall statue of the former president, raising his left hand in greeting, was unveiled in the square in Fushe Kruge, festooned with Albanian and American flags for the occasion.

"Albanians' pro-Americanism has its roots in our attempts... to build our deserved future as a free nation, as a free country," Prime Minister Sali Berisha told the crowd.

Mr Bush was the first US president to visit post-communist Albania, which is hoping to join the EU in the future.

Albanians have a special affection for the United States, which they credit with ending their country's Cold War isolation and leading Nato's 1999 bombing offensive that halted ethnic cleansing of Kosovo Albanians by Serbian troops.

Washington was also a staunch supporter of Albania's drive to join Nato, which accepted it into the military alliance in 2009.

"He left his mother in the United States but he found a mother here," Thomaidha Kaziu, 72, who had seen Mr Bush in 2007 and was told the American leader had found a resemblance between her and his mother.

"I will not die without meeting him again," she said.

And here's the First Couple enjoying the Texas Rangers game last night!

I just found the article via FOX Nation about President Bush being honored with a statue. He is on his way to be recognized as the greatest President of this century

Here are more great pics of President Bush ripping it up on his bike. The pics were taken last week during his Kennebunkport vacation but just got released today. Enjoy!
