The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
In The News: President Bush to host Warrior Open Golf Tournament
Video announcement:
Awesome!
I just finished viewing President Bush’s video announcement of his new golf tournament for our wounded warriors. While he continues to be inspired by his “warriors”, we (and they) continue to be inspired by him!!
Thanks for the AWESOME photo link!
“I am again so proud of OUR president for his love of the troops!”

You and me both!!
A great comment, DrDeb—so true!
I keep forgetting to comment on that link. Awesome indeed! What a find that was. Thank you so much.
Totally agree with all of you. There’s indeed a special bond between President Bush and the military. As he said to Bret Baier, “I do know I have a responsibility to honor them and support them for the rest of my life. We were in a great adventure together for the sake of peace and I will never forget their sacrifice.” Right on!
Eric Metaxas just posted this video of GWB congratulating him at the Brecket Fund 2011 Canterbury dinner. I’m sure some of you read the Bonhoeffer book, so the author was awarded the Canterbury Metal for the book.

Also GWB spoke at the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce dinner in Lancaster, PA last night. He once again praised Obama for Bin Laden’s death, which he DIDN’T have to do, but he was being a gentleman as usual. That’s called class!
“Bush reflects: Believes he made right decisions while president” (There’s also a photo gallery)
Indeed....THIS man makes me proud to be an American when we
have every reason since the fake president was (ugh) elected
to feel otherwise.
God bless and protect President Bush....and our military!
Great....and short!....speech! :)
Thanks, and you’re right. GWB made us all proud to be Americans and since he left, things have all gone downhill. Let’s hope and pray for better days ahead when we get a conservative GOP president elected next year and we can all breathe a sigh of relief!
Praying as hard as I can!! We can’t take much more of this
hope & change thingy!
So I HOPE things CHANGE very soon! :)
Thank you for the links — and you’d better believe that George W Bush made the “right decisions” while president . . . too bad we can’t say the samething about our current president!
Thanks so much for the links. I do enjoy reading about our W, and his love and affection for our troops. A real commander in chief.
Last Saturday, June 4th, GW and Laura held a dinner party at their home to welcome the new recruits for the local Dallas Teach for America. Boy, how lucky can you get to able to eat dinner with the Bushes in their own home! That must have been a blast for the guests!
Lovely invitation!
On Monday, June 6th, President Bush was at the ballpark enjoying another Texas Rangers game with buddy Nolan Ryan:
Then on Wednesday, June 8th, President Bush spoke at the Pershing Insite financial conference in Hollywood, Florida:
And finally GWB and Laura attended a party on Saturday night where the guest of honor was none other than Aretha Franklin herself! Aretha was performing at the Dallas home of Jim Mussleman, who is the founder of the Appleseed Recordings record label.
The legendary Queen of Soul on stage!
Great photos, thanks for posting
THANK YOU so much for the great research/photos — my work schedule is crazed at the moment so I’m going to rely on you to provide me with my regular ‘W’ fix (ha!)!!
Thank you, patty! It is always great to find out what is going on with the Bushes! I am certainly jealous of their guests! :)
worderful catch up report.. Thank you so much
wondering if you or anyone else knows if he was at any of the Maverick games? cant count on MSM to tell
