My Rep Walz D-Mn, has been having town halls, but only in settings that will be favorable to him, helping Veterans, High schools, ect. Unfortunately, dupes may still vote for him because they won’t get the whole truth.

That’s what it is. Or else... a firewall of Black Panthers with billy clubs at the polls. :)

Maybe the phrase heard most often around the polls will be "Honest office, I was in fear for my life. It was purely self-defense. I'm so upset I need to speak to my lawyer."

No need to halt the vote, just control the counting.

In 1918 the Soviet government closed down the Constituent Assembly and banned the SR and other anti-Bolshevik parties. Some SRs now resorted to acts of terrorism. On 30th August, 1918, Vladimir Lenin was shot by Dora Kaplan and soon afterwards Moisei Uritsky, Commissar for Internal Affairs in the Northern Region, was assassinated by another supporter of the SR.

"It means that they are no longer going to try to compete in all the House Races, but wright off 30 or so in order to ensure that they hold just enough seats to retain the majority. Admitting you are adopting this strategy means that they know they are in for a butt kicking and are trying to salvage what they can."

I'm sure you're right.

Let 'em try. :-)

The Dims are in for a major ass kicking.

I’m thinking it’s time to volunteer as vote monitor (whatever the term) - part as civic duty and part to make d@mn sure the polling place is open and working. Can’t complain as well, and can’t stand there with an impromptu ballot box and ballots as backup, when not part of the process.

The black pamper stunt only works in areas of heavy democrat control. They try that in my neck of the woods and they’re likely to wander off into the underbrush and never find their way out again.

Detroit, election night 04.

>>In Detroit, mostly white Republican poll watchers dispatched to monitor mostly-black city vote counting encountered uncomfortable, racially charged situations. Poll watchers overseeing absentee vote-counting at Cobo Center, for example, reported widespread fraud in the counting of ballots. The incident raised the specter of a politically dicey GOP lawsuit, a move now less urgent given Bush’s national victory.

“Craziest thing I’ve ever seen,” said one poll watcher. “They had 100 tables and just five poll watchers trying to monitor them. Every table had a pile of empty ballots. If the machine rejected a ballot, the workers would just take a fresh ballot, fill it in the way they thought the voter wanted (Detroit voted heavily for Kerry), and then put THAT ballot through the machine.” The poll watcher also reported unsigned ballots being counted in the machines, a violation of absentee procedures.

Alarmed by this open fraud, the party brought in more poll watchers only to be confronted, according to a Detroit Free Press account, by a Kerry campaign lawyer “who arrived and began yelling at the 20-30 GOP lawyers.” Policemen were called to restore order to the proceedings after which the additional Republican poll watchers were all escorted off the premises.

The Cobo vote fraud was the most serious incident in an evening that included a judge ruling for Republicans when poll watchers were cast out of other polling places. Democratic voters, in turn, complained that “they felt intimidated by a stranger watching them and wanting to check identification” according the Free Press account. All in all, an unsettling evening here in Southeast Michigan.<<

I think this means they’re going to climb up on the highest wall and shout “Fire!” while jumping off it.

"The only way they can save the House is to have no election. I have been predicting this for over a year and I will not be surprised when Iman Zero cancels the midterms..."

You're not alone, I think that there will be some kind of "emergency" or whatever (deliberate or accidental) in the next six weeks.

Admitting you are adopting this strategy means that they know they are in for a butt kicking and are trying to salvage what they can.

If true, then there are going to be a lot of bitter Rat Congress critters who bought into Rahm and Pelosi's promises that the public would eventually come around on National Healthcare if they would vote for it despite their constituents' warnings to the contrary.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the Rats have their first caucus meeting next week and Pelosi gives the chosen sacrificial lambs the bad news that they were all lied to by their leadership.

Bump. I have been saying the same thing for quite awhile.

My remark on another thread:

I’m wondering if nobama will pull off a staged stunt, probably having to do with National Security in late October. The stunt will be serious enough that he will call out the National Guard, declare martial law and, for “the good of the country,” delay the Nov 2 elections.

Some may say this is tin foil hat stuff. Maybe. But if this, or something like this, happens I won’t be surprised.

If something like this was not going to happen, I think we'd see a very different attitude from the RATS.

Who is the guy running against her? I would like to see her OUT of Congress altogether!

An anti-war, "gay-friendly" Paulite named John Dennis. I didn't see any current polls, but I wouldn't' get my hopes up. While I would love to see Nancy go, I'm not sure a win would be much of a win.

Besides, I kinda like the idea of her sticking around and getting a little taste of her own medicine. Without her leadership position, people from both parties would laugh at the nonsense that comes out her botoxed brain.
