Michael Bloomberg can do as he damn well pleases with respect to the Ground Zero Victory Commemoration Mosque, and he knows it. And he shows it by his brassy and unbending defiance of the majority of NYC’s voting public. His pretences of ideological purity and obedience to abstract principle — in this case to freedom of religion and more specifically to property rights — are one of the most outrageous insults that the intelligence of the NYC public has ever been subjected to.
How deep is Bloomberg’s dedication to the principle of property rights? This summer he fined retail businesses which left their street doors open to tempt hot passers by to come in and shop. If my memory serves, some nonsense to do with ecology took precedence over business owners’ property rights. I think that’s a clue.
Bloomberg’s prattle about rights is intended largely as a rhetorical device to confuse and inhibit patriots who actually care about American principles. I strongly doubt that he actually understands or cares much about the concept. ... At bottom, he believes that it’s his city and he’ll do as he likes with it.
And while we’re on the subject of things that Bloomberg doesn’t know or care about, what do you think he knows about Islam or jihad? ... the enemy or his doctine?

Most people do not recognize that what happens in a mosque is sedition. Pure and simple. Islam is not just a “religion”, it is a cult. Larger than that though, it is a political system, it is it’s own government, a economic system (which includes funding new mosque construction), its judicial...all wrapped up in the word sharia. This is inclusive of its military (jihadis) all rolled into one with one intent ...and that is to rule wherever they take root. It is a invasive, systemic infection looking to take over the host once it has quantum.
This is not just a “religion”, but something that cloaks itself in those terms so it should not be given the same treatment contemplated under the first amendment. The Korans Sharia rules are to consume whatever government there is wherever it goes.
Islam is political, and it’s goal is to supplant and replace. Globally.

On August 31, this coming Tuesday, the Muslim Brotherhood-associated “Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations” (CCMO) will bring 25-30 Muslim leaders of 20 national Muslim groups to attend a special workshop presented by the White House and U.S. Government agencies (Agriculture, Education, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services etc.) to provide the groups “funding, government assistance and resources.”
The workshop will apparently provide special access for these Muslim Brotherhood organizations: the organizers pledge to provide “direct access” and “cut through red tape.” Government and Muslim groups will hold an Iftar dinner (breaking the fast of Ramadan) after the workshop. Bloomberg wasn’t “fooled”. He has chosen a side in the war on terror and he sides with the Islamists.
Recall the Times Square bombing case. His first response was to wager “25 cents” that it was someone with a political agenda like those who are against Obamacare.
We are told time and time against not to jump to conclusions when a jihadist leaves extremist literature around his apartment and contacts a radical imam overseas etc etc. Nope, the Ft. Hood shooting was just another unfortunate case of workplace anger. Let’s not jump to any conclusions.
The guards against “church and state” apply to foreign theocratic governments establishing a state religion in the US as well.

It is true that mohammedanism is MORE than just a religion. And it is almost impossible to get a candid conversation going in mixed company on that subject.
What is most odd about it is that the orthodox native believers are very clear on the subject and not the least bit offended by the idea — they think it’s a GOOD thing.
And you’re right that there’s a treason/foreign interest angle there.
