Another stupid law.

This has got me thinking though. For several years now there have been all these laws being passed to make smoking tobacco illegal around the country, but at the same time this country in many parts has been moving closer to making marijuana legal. So we go from outlawing one smoking product to making legal another smoking product. Really does not make sense.

What also doesn’t make sense is that we needed to pass a Constitutional Amendment to nationally prohibit a substance (which we repealed); and we now have national/federal regulation “intoxicating or mind-altering substances” and firearms via things like the BATFE and the DEA. I have yet to hear a good explanation [Constitutionally-based] of these agencies existence.

IMO, booze is more detrimental to families and neighbors that cigarette smoking. Anyone ever witnessed cops at an apartment complex where drunks are out of control?

These people are whacked! They strain at a straw and swallow a camel.

—as William F. Buckley once commented (near, not an exact quote)—”the people who would make smoking tobacco a felony wish to make smoking marijuana compulsory”-—
