I searched all over and didn't see a live thread on tonight's speech soooooo here it is! (Be gentle on me, in all my years here this is my FIRST LIVE THREAD!)
Scheduled for 8PM meaning 9:15 PM. He has to snor tup enough to feel comfortable.
Oval Office makeover has comfy, more modern feel - Yahoo News
Full story AND pictures. Have fun and try not to lose your dinner...
Ha, that or maybe if I didn’t have to work tomorrow, I would play some kind of drinking game. I would have to turn the speech off in about a minute though because I would already be drunk lol!
Yeah I forgot he's not exactly the most punctual POTUS we've ever had...
The pic to the left of bite me - what is it??? AND why isn't it on the new wallpapered wall???
My pleasure!!!
Obama? On TV? Unexpected!
Not UNEXPECTED, UNPRECEDENTED. *tsk tsk* Get your words correct...(Just kidding *LOL*)
UNEXPECTED UNPRECEEDENTED AND HISTORY MAKING........
I will be rearranging my sock drawer so I won’t be able to watch. If I did, I would need a barf bag.
Tempted to play the drinking game...or wash dishes or put a load of laundry in or take the dog out for a long walk or go for a long walk myself...I actually do have to bring my son to his Gramma’s and he’s not home from his Dad’s yet (shuffling kids during Summer break!, ugh!) so might actually miss it but will check back in with FRiends and see what I missed.
You all are masochists for watching this “event”.
All credit for any success goes to Obama’s predecessor. All Obama did was stand in the way.
THIS subject (our military, their success in Iraq due to President Bush's strength and persistence and the brilliant plan of Gen Petraeus), is near to my heart.
And hearing the creepy Marxist PUNK lie about thanking our troops and giving NO credit to the LEADER whose plan he completely opposed, will make me physically ill.
I gag even thinking about this. I can't watch it and survive....
“I simply cannot watch him”
Me neither - I’ll be watching NCIS instead. I’m not wasting another 5 minutes of my life watching the vacationer-in-chief puff himself up.
I hear you. My husband did 6 yrs in the Navy and we still have a lot of friends in the Navy, my older brother is Air Force. I haven’t watched a lot of Obama’s speeches but I figured I’ll tune in for this one.
One of the best on TV during the 50’s and 60’s.
One of my favorites (next to Rocky) was Dudley Doowright
of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and his love - Nell.
