The Alrai daily newspaper in Kuwait reported on Saturday that Israel is planning to attack Hizbullah weapons storage and production facilities in Syria. According to unnamed Western sources who were quoted in the report, the IDF has strengthened its troop presence in the Golan Heights and Galilee panhandle. European sources told the paper that Israel had sent unmanned aerial vehicles over Syria and Lebanon, which they see as a sign that a military operation in the area is in the works.
In September of 2007, Israel attacked and destroyed a nuclear reactor in Syria. The site of the bombing was an installation meant to produce plutonium, and was partially funded by North Korea. The CIA had said that Israel bombed the reactor before it attained its planned capacity to manufacture plutonium for nuclear weapons.

Oh, is it time for the monthly “Israel is making plans to attack [fill-in-the-blank]”?

It mystifies me how every month Israel is supposed to attack something and never does yet someone is making money every month informing us all of the attacks that never come.
I've always felt PT Barnum was far to optimistic in his observation that there's was a sucker born every minute...

I’m awaiting confirmation from Debka.

Thanks Nachum. Israel sure is remarkably restrained though. They should level Syria via air, at night, while rolling up to the start line in the north; then launch the air assault (ground penetration, into those storage bunkers) in Lebanon, followed by the ground assault, first thing in the morning.
Or maybe just nuke both countries into the history books. But I digress...

I’m getting tired of reading this crap. Israel will only attack when it feels absolutely necessary, and when they feel that their adversaries and enemies have passed strikingly close to having something that could tip the sphere of dominance. When you see Iranians deploying SSBM’s or TOPOL-M’s in Lebanon then you might see an attack in the works. No country right now out matches Israel, and it would be ridiculous to think that Iran would risk destroying palestine, syria, or lebanon from a nuclear attack.
To: Nachum
Attacking Iran will not happen unless they receive the green light from the US. Too many vested interest, oil, money, and politics in that god forsaken land, to include Russians.

Syria has one (IIRC) the highest concentrations of chem and bio warfare making on earth. Bombing certain parts of the area would create a chemical/bacteriological cloud that would destroy Syria and parts of Israel (depending on wind direction and munition used).
So it looks like Syria will get a nuke, from Israel! Cause it is the only thing that can be safely used on Syria!

You are obviously not a viewer of Paliwoods productions. Look it up on Google, and while you are at it look up Rachel Corrie (sp?} who is also a leading lady in one of their most famous episodes.

You are right, except the part about some blowing onto Israel. Otherwise, it seems just dandy to me.
