How can the GOP bigwigs think Murky can possibly win the general if it is even suspected they cheated to get her on the ballot? You still don't get it?
They don't care if Murkowski wins, as long as Miller loses.
The GOP is a status quo party. A Senate full of DeMints, Coburns, and Pauls will destroy the coalition government that we've had in place since 1933. THAT the GOP won't accept.
In general, our "leaders" are more afraid of us and what we would do in power than they are of the Democrats (or of the Islamists). Where do you think No Child Left Behind came from? Where do you think "Religion of Peace" came from?
If we can take over the GOP in primary elections (doubtful, IMO) the pillars of the temple are going to be shaken.
That terrifies the GOP "bigwigs", and they'll try anything to stop it. I bet they're talking to Al Franken's lawyers right now.

Hasn't the big wigs in the GOP in Alaska been crooked for years? Palin had to fight them as well as the dems. We have to fight back. I hope Miller has the ability to hang on to his lead but it sure looks suspicious right now.

Caircross could have communicated email, held a webinar, and made a phone call. What did he communicate to the Murky team that took three days?

Shaken temples also come from cracks in the pillars - and that is happening all across America. I don’t share your doubtful view that the GOP establishment can’t be shaken, or even replaced. What Reagan started we must finish.
