Why the left hates US (the "common" people). Good read.
As for me, I'll take
Our would-be rulers despise Americans — that’s why they let in 20 million Mexican invaders.
The Left’s non-stop barrage of calling people who disagree with them “bigots” or “racists” isn’t working anymore (if it ever really did).
It will be interesting to see what terminology they come up with next. Whatever words they use won’t work either.
Krauthammer nails it again. AS if we need more evidence or convincing that the dims are attempting to manipulate the electorate... and succeeding in most / many cases.
The attitude doesn't rise to the level of hate; to hate someone, you have to at least respect their ability to thwart you. In Obama's case, the public is simply one more nuisance, a detour on his way to the Workers Paradise. His disdain is founded on disregard, not antipathy.
We're not important enough to hate.
I’m about 150 pages into “MiG Pilot” by John Barron, the story of Victor Belenko and his defection to Japan in his MiG-25. Lots of parallels between how the USSR is run and how the Democrats want to run America (not that the business-as-usual Republicans have been any kind of shining star here). Don’t think, the state will tell you how and what to think. Just shut up and do what you’re told.
and why the feeling is mutual? Don’t worry, elites, the revolt will be in full force this Nov on election day.
Charles is JUST noticing this? Where has he been?
Okay, I will say it. Muslims are OINKophobic.
Oikophobia:
coined by the British philosopher Roger Scruton, is here used as a non-clinical description of an ‘anti-culture’ prevalent among Western artists and intellectuals. It is a combination of:
oikos - from the Greek meaning a house, family, people, or nation Encyclopaedia Britannica
and
-phobia
(combining form) extreme or irrational fear or dislike of a specified thing or group
I myself suffer from oinkophobia; I hate liberal pigs telling me how to live.
I agree with much that Kraut has written but I would add this:
We have developed an aristocratic class that presumes to set the rules for politics and culture without the input of the peasants. And make no mistake about it, we are regarded as the unwashed peasants.
I also see a tension between the Liberal Arts (the East) and the hard sciences (the Midwest). They publish books by great thinkers, meet in salons to speak of the current social situation and talk, talk, talk about it. They handle money and mishandle government.
We (the Midwest) put people on the moon, build bombers, drill for oil in nearly impossible technical situations, invent and build computers, develop hybrids and genetically modified grains and fruits and fertilizers that are responsible for the survival of a large part of the world’s population, produce doctors and researchers who materially extend the limits of medicine and who have materially exotend the life span of the world’s population.
The world has become too technical for the elites to run. Their understanding of not just human limits but human potential is nearly 100 years behind and it reflects the view held in the 30s.
If they fail to adapt they will, as all other species, die off. We are watching the beginning of the great extinction of this noxious species now.
They are an artifact of the 19th and 20th centuries.
