I just wish I was there. I was there for what has been the largest number on the mall, the Promise Keepers March. Its really not even a contest as the pictures bear out. The communist anti-American white hating scum known as Farrakhan did not muster more than 350000.

You can find out that the squares of the mall between the Washington Monument and the Capitol hold 750,000 IF they are packed. the Million Man Myth did not do even that. Promise Keepers did that AS WELL AS 2/3rds of the elipse around the Washington Monument and more. Its about ideology. Farrakhan wanted his validated and he lied and lied and lied about it to get his supposed validation. PK folks were there on only one mission, to get men turned on to and back to God. THAT is what heals and fixes problems. I would dare say there were as many black men at the PK march as the MMM.

As for today it will be a smaller number, but make no mistake it will have national and lasting impact and I only wish I could have been there to be a part of it.

I’ve been using a flat-bladed screwdriver on the spring/rod, but the biggest problem is working the screw/washer at the same time. Two hands and all that...

I’d thought of a magnetic screwdriver, but don’t have one anywhere near small enough. I’ll try the super glue angle. Thanks!

You can try using a dab of heavy grease to help keep the washer and screw together.

That’s not an issue. The small odd-shaped washer fits well on the screw threads and sits in place alright. My one big problem is just having two hands to work everything together. But I’m tryin...

Let us know how it goes. I had the trigger assembly of a Browning BPS fight me for about 45 minutes one day, so I can sypmathize.

There were easily well over 500K+ people there. From the Lincoln Memorial to The Washington Monument it was a sea of people (C-Span didn't show that shot). plus there were 130,000 watching the Live Stream from Glenn Beck's Facebook page.

And even cooler, during the event there was $5,500,000 raised for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. You could text an automatic $10 donation to them from your cellphone, but I went to their website and donated. And Glenn only talked about this Charity for maybe five minutes.

Great cause too. It helps the families of our Special Ops guys who die in action, on training missions, or are left severely wounded for life (lost limbs, in a wheelchair, etc).

My only other option with the 10/22 bolt is to immerse it in Hoppe’s #9 solvent.
*sigh*

Well, I can get the washer & screw/odd-washer tightened in the frame. And the cylinder release arm works. I just can’t get the spring and rod in place. Trying to control pressure on the spring/rod (which runs horizontal over the frame hole) so that the screw will fall in place is just too tough for a guy with hands like myself.

Anyway, it works. I have the spring/rod in a small paper bag, all taped up. I’ll have a gunsmith look at it later. In the meantime, the arm works, the cylinder releases as it should, and the gun fires both single/double action. I think the spring/rod are just for the arm falling back into place after pressure is placed on it to open the cylinder.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I appreciate it.

I have a bit of carbon fouling there that makes it not fuction at times.

Oven cleaner dissolves carbon.
