Committee sources insisted that too much should not be read into Cairncross’ presence in Alaska — only that the NRSC is an incumbent-retention committee and, as such, provides assistance when Senators ask for it.
Let me get this straight. After taking loads of abuse from the grassroots for endorsing Charlie Crist before Rubio’s campaign got off the ground, and with Murkowski already pointedly refusing to rule out a third-party bid if Miller’s (shrinking) lead holds up, John Cornyn and the NRSC are … sending their top lawyer to help her out? And framing it explicitly in terms of retaining incumbents? Do they really have no idea of how bitterly ferocious the backlash will be among the Republican base — especially, but not only, among Palin’s supporters — if they’re seen as tilting the election to Murkowski?
Is it possible The Political Class still doesn’t get it? Or, is this a cover to keep Murkowski cooperating?

Look for the DNC to go help advise her too. Nothing they’d like better than to see her run as an Independent and split the R vote so a Rat can win this seat. You watch.

This is why it is important to starve the state and national Republican committees. Give political donations directly to the candidates of your choice. The Republican state and national committees exist for the protection of the ruling class.

This should start at the REC level in every state to defund the NRSC and the NRCC because of their charter statement listed in this article. When these “Ruling Class” bastards are no longer accountable to the people who “hire” them, then start it at the grassroots level, bottom up, to get rid of thios useless waste of our money.
These people are going to havre to learn to stand on their own principles because not doing so has gotten us to where we are mired today.
We already do. That is why they are doing the bidding of those who DO give them money: the corporate oligarchs who give to both sides.
If Murky should win via the hanging chad route, I'm going to demand Miller go third-party himself.

Of course they don’t. But to be fair, it is because, to fully understand it, would be to understand their own doom.
It is like Blockbuster Video planning for new ad campaigns for future years of growth when anyone with an understanding of history, business and technology knows that they simply will not survive.
No, they don’t get it. It’s been obvious in every move. And they are not going to get it. It is not worth it to even try to ‘splain it to them. They are irrelevant. They are to be simply bypassed.
