Uh oh: Top NRSC lawyer headed to Alaska to advise Murkowski?

DISASTER!!

~SNIP~

Sean Cairncross, the general counsel of the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee, is headed to Alaska at the request of Sen. Lisa Murkowski to help provide guidance to the GOP incumbent finds herself trailing attorney Joe Miller by roughly 1,600 votes…

Committee sources insisted that too much should not be read into Cairncross’ presence in Alaska — only that the NRSC is an incumbent-retention committee and, as such, provides assistance when Senators ask for it.

Let me get this straight. After taking loads of abuse from the grassroots for endorsing Charlie Crist before Rubio’s campaign got off the ground, and with Murkowski already pointedly refusing to rule out a third-party bid if Miller’s (shrinking) lead holds up, John Cornyn and the NRSC are … sending their top lawyer to help her out? And framing it explicitly in terms of retaining incumbents? Do they really have no idea of how bitterly ferocious the backlash will be among the Republican base — especially, but not only, among Palin’s supporters — if they’re seen as tilting the election to Murkowski?

Arlen Spector too. I’ve given money to individual R’s so they call all the time. I’ve been quietly nice for some time, now the poor boobs they hire to make the calls are going to get yelled at.

This is exactly why I never give to ‘committees,’ and only directly to candidates.

When did public office become a right?

When she was born to Frank Murkowski, the right to ascend the throne became her birthright.

You little people wouldn't understand.

yes, of course, that's sarcasm. See? Smiley face! :-)

Yes, it’s an incumbent retention committee, but when voters IN THE SAME PARTY, IN A VALID PRIMARY have voted, it’s time to BUTT OUT!

John Cornyn is an Obama plant.

I stopped sending any money to the NRSC, NRCC, and RNC (Big Tent RINO Central) 5 years ago. Got fed up with watching the silk sock, white wine sipping, Brie~ nibbling Nelson Rockefeller branch of the GOP doing everything possible to defeat conservatives and elect [at best] RINOs. I’m done with them.

Maybe they are advising her on the best location to build “Murkowski Pontiac”...

She could just switch parties, the RATS are much more adept at stealing elections. Maybe Mayor Daley could rush up and oversee the theft. Remember how he was called into action to try to steal it for algorejr.

I wonder if they're still funding Specter!

This turned me totally against John Cornyn. I think they should stay the heck out of primary races!

I am a constituent of Cornyns in Texas, I called that office. They were not aware of any of this.

Hey, Cornyn takes his incumbent retention role seriously! If votes must be found or manufactured to retain an incumbent, why, that’s just part of the job!

You have to admire the work ethic, right? :-) There’s so little of it in politics these days...

Exactly. She another one who thinks she’s entitled to the seat. You know Alaska, the voters were done with her, and she knows it too. Alaksan FReepers were telling me Joe Miller was going to win, weeks before the election when the so-called polls had her 30 points ahead.

>> John Cornyn is an Obama plant.

Sure looks good on a big ol’ horse with a big ol’ ten-gallon hat though.

You gotta give him that.

If you missed it last time, you can catch it again next time he runs for re-election...

In between elections though, he puts the hat and horse away ‘cause the ‘Rats don’t like those symbols so much.

He also forgets how to be conservative.

Thank you for calling his office and alerting them. He “will” be told about your call.

Spoke with him several weeks ago at a fund raiser for another candidate here in Texas. He said he was glad he wasn’t running this year - I told him I certainly would not campaign or vote for him this time and that if he thinks we will forget the next time around, he is sadly mistaken. Couldn’t get myself to shake his hand but wanted to grab his nose and shake him until his teeth rattled!

Yep, if these crooks can’t win at the ballot box then by George they will win on a technicality in a court of law, the primary voters be damned.
