Sean Cairncross, the general counsel of the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee, is headed to Alaska at the request of Sen. Lisa Murkowski to help provide guidance to the GOP incumbent finds herself trailing attorney Joe Miller by roughly 1,600 votes
Committee sources insisted that too much should not be read into Cairncross presence in Alaska only that the NRSC is an incumbent-retention committee and, as such, provides assistance when Senators ask for it.
Let me get this straight. After taking loads of abuse from the grassroots for endorsing Charlie Crist before Rubios campaign got off the ground, and with Murkowski already pointedly refusing to rule out a third-party bid if Millers (shrinking) lead holds up, John Cornyn and the NRSC are sending their top lawyer to help her out? And framing it explicitly in terms of retaining incumbents? Do they really have no idea of how bitterly ferocious the backlash will be among the Republican base especially, but not only, among Palins supporters if theyre seen as tilting the election to Murkowski?
They call me sometimes too, I tell them where they can shove it and I hang up. They won’t get a dime of my money, not until they clean up their act, which doesn’t look like they are going to do anytime soon
To be fair, we don’t know what the lawyer is going there for. It may be a legal threat against her if she runs third party to try to get campaign money back from her.
**That is why they are doing the bidding of those who DO give them money: the corporate oligarchs who give to both sides.**
This would be true if we gave or not - our voices don’t matter. At least they will have less $$$ to use for their dirty work if the little guys withhold their donations.
Don't sweat the small, pro forma stuff. Read Ace's cogent, entirely sensible explanation as to the whats, whys and wherefores taking place here, even as we speak.
No danger. No threat. My ironclad guarantee on it. ;)
If you send money to the NRSC, NRCC, or the RNC, YOU are part of the problem!
I would bet the farm that he is. Nobody gets a bronze star from actions in combat by being a wuss. He also finished in the top of his class at West Point as well.
Remember all the money the NRSC spent to help Lincoln Chaffee fight off a primary challenge in Rhode Island? That worked out really well, didn’t it?
Another good reason to never give them monetary support.
What guidance do you need, Lisa? You lost, go home. If you think the voters still like you, run for governor or senator again in 6 years
When did public office become a right?

The counsel will call up one of his dim buddies to get voter fraud advice.
How to create hanging chads, fake mailed in ballots, hacking electronic machines.
The count has just begun.
He said on Mark’s show last night that he had people on the ground, so, I think he’s very aware of the possibilities here. Miller is a lawyer.
Sad but true.
That is why I said this needs to start at the REC level because monies raised by REC's get transfered to the state party and then to the national RNC.
Like other have said, starve the beast and give only directly to candidates, then obtain the books of each candidate to make sure they are not funneling money to the RNC.
>> only that the NRSC is an incumbent-retention committee
Oh, is THAT it?
We are destined to be at odds, then. My campaign funds are earmarked for incumbent eradication.
OMG! They hung up on YOU!

Thank you very much for the post. I retract my previous impetuous post.
The GOP is not the friend of conservatives.
The GOP is merely the less aggressive group of condescending, elitist, utopian globalists. At they end of the day, they too are of Versailles.
Maybe they’re going to tell her to endorse Joe Miller and be a team player.
Is the Pope Catholic?
