The U.S. Senate race in Wisconsin between incumbent Democrat Russ Feingold and his top Republican challenger, Ron Johnson, remains a tie.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state finds Johnson earning 47% of the vote, while Feingold, who is seeking a third-term, picks up 46% support. One percent (1%) prefers some other candidate, and five percent (5%) are not sure.
Two weeks ago, Johnson held an identical 47% to 46% lead. These findings show little change since Johnson, a plastics manufacturer and businessman, entered the race in late May. Support for Johnson has ranged from 44% to 48%. In those same surveys, Feingold has consistently picked up 46% of the vote.

Feingold is a whack-job. I sincerely hope he’s gone after this November.
This remains a tossup and a prime pickup opportunity.
Incidentally, there’s another Republican running, one David Westlake. Feingold leads him by a 47% to 40% margin.
I really, really want Feingold to lose. Really, I do. Really.
Tired of getting the Johnson? Then vote for Johnson!
Give Washington the Johnson for a change!
The primary is not until September 14. Wisconsin Republicans will need to get together and campaign quickly.
Seriesly ?
Wow!
With the numbers that close it’s ACORN in a tiebreaker.
As an aside I heard Johnson speak and was impressed. I guess his not being a professional politician comes through i.e. normal morals.(I define morals very broadly not simply as control of sexual conduct.)
I love this, and I don’t even live in Wisconsin!
Johnson must be prepared for an attack in the final week coordinated (dialed in) by Rahm Emmanuel. They need to have anticipated everything and have a rapid response strategy prepared for any possible 11th hour assault.
Feingold has an image as a proper fellow - but when it sinks in with him that it is about to be curtains - you watch as he will look away and let the White House directed operatives do the dirty work for him.
The State of Wisconsin will have only 48 hours to get the absentee ballots out to our armed forces by Federal law. Anyone want to bet that Eric Holder drags his feet on this? Control of the Senate could hinge on this race and the absentee count from overseas.
I’ve said and well keep saying it:
The GOP WINS:
100% of the solid GOP races.
100% of the leans GOP races.
100% of the toss up races.
50% of the Leans Democrat races.
And a few of the solid Dem Races just for the sport of it.
8 to 12 Senate Seats. CONTROL!!
HAH, if Feingold and Boxer would take it up the ‘Ol electoral poop-chute I’d be a happy camper!
I’ll happily dance on their political graves!
I know what I’ll be giving thanks for in November!
If you’re a Wisconsin conservative don’t count your chickens. Incumbents typically do better than the polls. So get out and vote.
Just picked up my Ron Johnson signs today, I have three (extras to share) and one is in my yard as of today. I phone bank for Walker three days a week in Wauwatosa and stopped in Johnson's Milwaukee office twice today, no one was there. I had to go the the Waukesha County Republican office to get the signs. We need Johnson in the Senate but his Milwaukee office should be open at 11 am and 3 pm!
I think Lisa Murkowski would not agree with you today.
Feingold is part of a Congress that is taking this country down a major sh*t hole. Vote for him if you want more of the same.
I’d make the above my one campaign commercial to be run over and over
