How Lisa Murkowski (might have) lost
Washington Post ^ | 25 August 2010 | Chris Cillizza

. . . She was urged by senior leadership at the National Republican Senatorial Committee to go negative on Miller in a meeting two months ago but rejected that advice, insisting that attack ads were not how politics were conducted in Alaska, according to a source familiar with the gathering.

By refusing to define Miller early on in the race, Murkowski gave away her biggest advantage: money. (On Aug. 4, Murkowski reported $1.86 million in her campaign warchest; Miller had just $84,000 in the bank at that time.)

As the votes were being counted, Miller gave full credit for his lead to Palin, the half-term governor of Alaska whose endorsement put him on the national political map. "I'm absolutely certain that was pivotal," he told the Anchorage Daily News. And, Murkowski, put the blame for her potential loss at the feet of the former governor, saying: "I think she's out for her own self-interest. I don't think she's out for Alaska's interest." . . .

I’ll guess 2501

> > Huck is a boob, IMO. His endorsements are all but meaningless. He tried to score endorsement wins in the early primary states of Iowa and South Carolina, but Sarah endorsed those winners. LOL. <<

It appears Joe Miller himself disagrees with you. Huckabee and his supporters are giving top billing. On his facebook page, he thanks Mike Huckabee, HuckPAC, and TeamHuck first and foremost for delivering for him -- saying so in two separate posts. He doesn't even mention Palin's endorsement. See for yourself:

POST 1:
Joe Miller
THANK YOU to Governor Huckabee, Huck PAC, and Team Huck Volunteers

POST 2:
Joe Miller
From Governor Huckabee this morning: RT@GovMikeHuckabee: A special thanks to Team Huck, @teamhuckAK and Amy Walker for their hard work to push Joe Miller into the lead!

Furthermore, on Joe Miller's endorsement page, Huckabee's endorsement is featured as one of the most prominent endorsements and listed at the top of the page. Huckabee's picture is even shown larger and more prominently than Sarah Palin:

Going by your warped logic, that would "prove" Huckabee was the key factor in this race, and that Sarah Palin's "TROLLS" here are hit hardest by this news.

Of course we know that's not the case.

And again, if you're going to claim I'm a Mike Huckabee "troll", I will repeat again that if I had to choose between Sarah and Huck for the GOP nomination, I'd choose her in a heartbeat. She's the more conservative of the two.

But the bottom line is the original post claiming Huckabee's "trolls" were "hit hardest" by the election results is asinine, no matter how many ways you try to split hairs over it.

Going by your warped logic [...] And again, if you're going to claim I'm a Mike Huckabee "troll" [...]

Oh, good lord. This is just pathetic, really.

You've had it pointed out to you at least twice now, patiently and politely, that you've been wasting a ferocious amount of your own sweet time and effort in flailing away, fruitlessly, at your own dopey, willful misreading of what was originally (and plainly) written. Said simple instruction notwithstanding, you mechanically re-re-RE-insist upon your own God-given right to take unwarranted umbrage, for whatever unknown (and unknowable) personal emotional reasons.

Do so, then.

LOL!

No problem Eska I hear you.

How could you know?

It’s NOT a done deal yet.

But it is looking pretty good.

Alaska IS what America used to be.

“WE don’t give a D#&N how they do it OUTSIDE!”
