WASHINGTON Conservative pundit Ann Coulter intensified her attacks on WND last night on Fox News Channel's "Red Eye" show, accusing those at the largest independent news site who dropped her from the "Taking America Back National Conference" in Miami of being "fake Christians."
Coulter claimed she was never actually booked for the event, repeated her resentment over publishing her e-mail explanations to WND Editor Joseph Farah for appearing at GOProud's Homocon event and lashed out at WND for "pushing the birther thing," which she said is not supported by any conservatives.
"These are fake Christians trying to get publicity," said Coulter.
Previously, Coulter called Farah a "publicity whore" and a "swine" for WND's decision to drop her upon learning of her plan to speak to the homosexual Republican group.
In response, Farah issued the following statement: "Coulter called me a 'publicity whore' for my decision. But look who is on television talking about this throwing mud, name-calling, smearing not only me but my entire staff. I will not engage in the kind of ad hominem attacks that have made Coulter so famous and that are making her even more of a media darling in this age of reckless anger and character assassination for the sake of entertainment. Every day, since we made this decision at WND, I thank God for giving me the clarity of mind and discernment to make the right choice."

They got the immigration issue right. Not that it’s difficult to come down on the common sense side of that one.
Everything thing else I read over there requires a healthy stock of tin-foil.
Yep, you’re right.
WND, although not the most reliable news source, has carried the BC torch. Ann is the most acerbic woman in all of conservativedom.
This public divorce is grotesque.
Everyone is such an emotional *child*.
>> shes become seriously unhinged.
Not sure the reason, but ditto the unhinged part.
Farah says:
GOProud is about infiltration of the conservative movement and dividing it from within with twisted and dangerous ideas way out of the mainstream of American public opinion. Ann Coulter is, I'm afraid, validating this effort for money. I support her speaking to people with whom she disagrees on college campuses. That's a good idea. I do it, too. But if you see the way GOProud is exploiting its coup in getting Ann Coulter to speak to its Homocon event, you begin to understand what a mistake this is for a conservative icon like Coulter."
I think Farah is right on this point.
However, I agree with Coulter that Farah using private emails is way, way out of bounds. Not only is it out of bounds, but having that private contact with her would have been one way that he could have addressed issues of the heart and actually been able to influence her.
I also think Coulter is wrong that the birther questions have been "proven" in the sense of being put to rest. They haven't been proven.
We still have never seen Obama's birth certificate, and there's no good reason not to have seen it. Notices in a Hawaiian newspaper are not copies of the birth certificate.
“Farah is gonna get his butt kicked by a girl.”
Coulter is not a girl, she is a hand grenade with the pin pulled.
No, Ann isn’t judging who they are!! She isn’t painting herself into a corner of hate. I am so proud of
Ann and the stand she has taken. It’s people like Farah who give GOP and Christians a bad name.
No it is not. Christians do not have to be hateful to any group of people. I guess none of you know gay people.
Farah does what he does, there's no reason for Ann and others to do it too.
Yea, but the ones who hate and want to punish gays and avoid them seem like fake Christians to me.
I hate to say it but Ann is wrong here folks..her talking at this homocon is gonna be viewed as an endorsement of their beliefs. Farah is right on this one.. I can’t see how any conservative would disagree with that.
Ann Coulter is more and more finding herself irrelevant to Conservatives.
I bought her books in the past but will not do so in the future.
Why?
I started researching BHO’s past in February, 2008. I sent information I had discovered about him to Ann. She ignored all of it.
At that time in 2008 there still existed video on Youtube of BHO in a debate during his campaign for Congressman (Illinois) where he stated he was born in Kenya. There also still existed dozens of newspaper articles, here in the U.S.A., in Europe, and in Africa, that said the same thing. Many of those were interviews with BHO himself. Then there was evidence of BHO’s past the Democrats were desperately trying to hide in Indonesia. Almost all that information has been scrubbed.
Ann Coulter had never hesitated to relate facts about the Clintons; why would she clam-up tight about Obama?
I can’t explain it. But I respect journalists that follow leads like journalists are supposed to do. WND doesn’t hesitate to tread where Ann fears to go go - catch my drift?
Last I looked seemed to me that Ann Coulter represented herself. Wondering how anything she says is going to effect those upcoming elections.
I can just see people in the polling booth going over Ann Coulter quotes to decide who, or what to vote for. I don’t think so.
And who in the Hell is World Net Daily!? They lost any credibility long ago.
Well isn't this interesting. It's gonna be hard to call Coulter a liar. If this is true, then her claims that this is all about publicity gain credibility.
And between the two, Farah's relationship with the truth can best be described as estranged.
We’re all on the same side. Let’s defeat the Liberal Left, and worry about crumbs, later. Okay?
I don’t think either one is a fake Christian. Coulter may be doing the Jesus-dined-with-sinners-so-I-can-too thingy, but that doesn’t make her fake. Self-deluding, yes. Fake, no. Nor does Farah’s legitimate desire to avoiding compromising conservative messaging on social issues detract in any way from his Christianity. Quite to the contrary, it secures his credibility with those who see a close relationship between the so-called social issues and the root meaning of conservatism.
As for Obama’s constitutional eligibility, Coulter appears to have done only shallow research, and so should not be faulted, I suppose, for caving to the tide of popular media consensus. That, in itself, does not discredit her Christianity. Only her research skills.
However, what would do lasting damage is for there to be no attempt by either party, especially in light of the present crisis, to seek a genuine reconciliation of some sort. They don’t have to surrender their ideological commitments, but they should let go of hotly-worded accusations about each others spiritual commitments to that divine person they both claim to know and reverence.
I respect them both, up to a point. If I found myself in a lifeboat with either one, I’d eventually swim for it.
That said, with 10 weeks to election, can’t they refrain from throwing stones in their glass duplex?
This fight will have no bearing on the Nov. election. The left hates them both, the center doesn’t even know who they are and the right has already chosen sides in this cat-fight. It’s entertaining but of no consequence...
Can’t this all just go away?
