A group of supporters rally in front of the Cuban cafe where Rick Scott will make a campaign stop in Miami, Friday, Aug. 20, 2010. Florida governor hopefuls Bill McCollum and Rick Scott entered the final frenzied days of the their tight Republican primary race Friday hoping to sway the sizable chunk of voters that polls suggest are still teetering on the fence.

He is the least honorable of the two and about as nasty as another elective official in Florida, Alan Grayson. McCollum has much more integrity and hopefully will win.
McCollum is a career politician who changes his positions at the whim of the polls, a RINO.
And Rick Scott quite obviously is ethically challanged.
While I voted Scott, I gots to believe there could have been better candidates.
McCollum was against Arizona SB 1070...before he was in favor of it.
Anyone dumb enough to vote for McCollum, thinking he is now going to get tough on illegals....is a freaking moron.
I cannot believe how many rock dumb stoopid Liberal RINOs that are voting GOP....they whine about Rick Scott’s past....but have no problem with Bill McCollum still lying to them.
Yeah, you're really going to get a lot of converts with that sales pitch.
If you lived in Florida and did your homework you would know that McCollum is the most ethical and honorable choice. The folks have figured that out as well and are going to choose him on Tuesday. 30 million and a nasty campaign does not a Senate seat get. This will be true because the people will trust McCollum over Scott. Just based on integrity there is only one choice and the folks will speak on Tuesday.
Perhaps you should spend a few minutes learning about Grayson before making such an absurd statement. Grayson is a total liberal wacko who made his fortune filing frivolous lawsuits. Scott made his fortune creating the largest hospital company in the country. Scott was the industry leader who took on Hillarycare and defeated it. His reward was to be targeted by Clinton's goon squad and forced from his position. His other reward, apparently, was to be slimed by conservatives who don't know what they're talking about.
McCollum has much more integrity
That may or may not be true. As a career politician, whose beliefs change with the winds of public opinion, I don't know that integrity is word I'd use to describe McCollum. Maybe, someday, he'll decide once and or all if he's for or against open borders.
‘Anyone dumb enough to vote for McCollum, ..is a freaking moron.’
As one ‘freaking moron’ to another, there is nothing new under the sun. When I was your age folks started touting a non political businessman as the new hero for conservatives. He was no career politician and his name was Nelson Rockefeller.
Well, I’m going to fess up publicly here..I voted early yesterday, and I really couldn’t decide...I’d been going back and forth for several weeks..don’t really like either, so I opted for the near equivalent of “NONE OF THE ABOVE” and voted for McAlister..
You didn’t want to pick between who you saw as the lesser of the evils?
I think Scott will stick to his conservative principles. Unlike RINO McCollum and most career politicians, he isn’t tied to lobbyists. In 1996, Time Magazine named Scott as one of America’s 25 Most Influential People. Scott knows the dynamics of running a successful business, and he will use his talents to help positively transform the state. Finally, Scott and his wife are genuinely personable and friendly.
McCollum never gave me a reason to vote for him..he seemed more like Bob Dole and McCain..”it’s MY turn now..” I like what Scott’s saying..but don’t think he has clean hands..I will actively campaign and work hard for whichever wins the nomination..I suspect that McCollum will win, and I’m happy with that for three reasons...1) I think Rubio will do better with McCollum atop the ticket, 2) McCollum has been forced to adopt a more conservative agenda, and 3)going through a difficult primary will make him a better candidate in the general election
I don’t live in FL, so I can’t vote, but, just because someone says all the right things during a campaign, doesn’t mean he/she will be a good elected official.
Are you a Floridian resident???
This is what you are getting for voting early without reading this first, kind of sleazy business for profit???:

I certainly changed my mind about Scott who was my favor until a couple weeks ago, however I trust you will vote for McCoullum when the “real” votes are to be cast!!!
Rick Scott is a crook BUT not a career politician.
I expect McCollum to take the primary and then yes I’ll support him.
Until then I want everyone nervous.
FL FReepers:
Tom Trento, director of the Florida Security Council discusses Bill McCollum’s Anti-Terrorism Credentials in this short 2 minute video. Please watch ...it’s a critical issue for Florida.
Thanks, Julie

McCollum was against an Arizona type illegals bill for Florida before. He is now for it.
Same thing for Marco Rubio.
Should I trust either?
And Thanks Julie, good film.
I hope it is correct and again I hppe McCollum wins.
McCollum has worked to create a stronger bill for FL. He felt the AZ bill wasn’t strong enough to withstand court challenges. His statement was taken out of context.
I first heard Rubio speak at my local GOP Club in June 2009....He was questioned extensively about his stance regarding illegal immigration....He said then and has stated repeatedly that he opposes amnesty and that we must seal the border!
