And that is the temptation we must resist. Remember how loudly we cried for the removal of Churchill and Ayers. We failed to remove them because their bosses, and contracts in the case of Churchill, backed their action. In the case of this teacher his boss and contract didn't back his action. If enough of the other parents protested and demanded his return he could probably save his job. But if you PO customers (for a teacher the parents) your boss might fire you.

Just because the other side got away with it doesn't make it right or something we should support. This guy getting sacked sucks, but it is legal.
