“How many times does this have to be explained to you?
THE MAN INCLUDED A LIST OF HIS EMPLOYER’S CLIENTS (THE PARENTS)IN HIS “ PERSONAL EMAIL LIST”.”

And you know this, how? I need no explanation from someone who doesn’t know the whole story ... which, clearly, you do not. But thanks for offering.

The articles all say “a handful” of players parents. As a coach for many years, I can tell you that many parents became friendly or contacted me off topic or off the field about any number of things. They could easily end up in a personal computer at home...which he contends this is the case.

You have a right to your own opinion, but not to make up “facts.”

I know this how?

Are you serious?

How about from the very article that YOU posted:

"According to the report, Glover sent the song to everyone in his personal e-mail list, 'which included parents from Grassland Middle School, where he coached football.; ..... That's when the trouble began. Within 90 minutes of sending out the song, Glover heard from his head coach that parents were asking that Glover be fired."

The students and parents are, in effect, the clients of that public school.

Just because you are stupid and/or careless enough to include your employer's clients in your "personal e-mail list" does not make those clients your "personal friends" and make that email a "personal matter".

WITHIN 90 MINUTES of sending out that e-mail, those pissed off clients were calling for his head.

"Personal friends" do not do that. Irate clients do.

That's not Rocket Science.

Are you claiming that the facts in the article that YOU posted are false?

If so, why don't you let us all in on the joke.

The articles all say “a handful” of players parents. As a coach for many years, I can tell you that many parents became friendly or contacted me off topic or off the field about any number of things.

Is that a fact? Only "a handful"?

You know what?

In the Real World, all it takes is one single legitimately pissed off client to get an employee fired.

"As a coach" have any of your real "friends" ever asked that you be fired over an -e-mail?

Has it ever occurred to you that just because a client is "friendly" to you does not make that client your "friend"?

Do you know the difference between a true "friend" and a "friendly acquaintance"?

The difference is that a true friend will forgive an e-mail that he or she finds offensive and he or she will discuss the matter with you in a private and friendly manner.

A "friendly acquaintance", on the other hand, can quickly turn from a "friendly acquaintance" to a "very hostile acquaintance" and demand that you be fired for an e-mail they find offensive.

They could easily end up in a personal computer at home...which he contends this is the case.

Yep. Sh#t happens.

Just as if your wife's Girl Scout mailing list gets mixed in with the mailing list of your raunchy college buddies and every member of your daughter's Girl Scout Troop ends up receiving some raunchy photo of you, buck nekkid, at a frat party back in your day.

"But... but... but... It was an accident! I swear, Your Honor! It wasn't my fault! I can't be blamed!"

You know what?

You still screwed up.

Accept accountability.

ADVICED FROM YOUR LAWYER PRIOR TO YOUR TRIAL AS A SEXUAL PREDATOR: "Fall on your sword. Apologize profusely. Tell the Judge it was a horrible, accidental, - - - stress accidental - - - , mistake. Accept accountability. REPEAT Accept accountability. Get down on your knees and beg the Judge for forgiveness ....... Or else, you are going to be sharing a jail cell with a new boyfriend named Horny."

That is why, in my Post 64, I wrote:

His defense should be as follows:

"I intended to send a partisan political joke to my personal friends and forgot that that I had copied and pasted a group of the parents of my students on a "personal list" that should have been strictly personal.

I am sorry and I apologize. Such a mishap will not happen again.

I will ensure that, in the future, "personal mail lists" and "working mailing lists" will remain separate on my computer."

You have a right to your own opinion, but not to make up “facts.”

The fact is that he screwed up. No matter how much lipstick you try to put on the pig, that is not going to change.

Are you the coach in question?

If so, admit that you screwed up. Apologize with the words I suggested, get your life back in order and be more careful with your "personal" mailing lists next time.
