.
If everybody in a four-person family replaced one bath a week with a five-minute shower, you could save between £5 and £15 per year off your energy bill.' OOOOOOOOhhh. 5 to 15 whatevers per year.
How much is that in real money. Like 2 dollars or something.
And besides, if your loyal subjects use less water, you'll lose more revenue. So whatever they save in Uros will just be taken from them in the form of taxes.
Idjit.

Having gotten within a few feet of Charlie before it seemed as if he’s been taking “shorter” showers for some time.or could it have been that he’s taken Cheryl Crow’s advice and uses one piece of TP per “visit”?

"In separate advice endorsed by the Prince, he was more detailed urging people to give up baths in favour of 'short, refreshing' five minute showers."So after six decades of inherited privilege, this is Charlie's contribution to the world.
If he had any sense at all he'd keep quiet in a manner fitting his complete irrelevance.

I’m going to take an extra-long shower tonight in honor of Charlie and the Brits.

The problem with reducing your water usage is that the utility company will then raise the per-gallon rates, so as to keep its revenue constant. You don’t save any money that way.

If everybody in a four-person family replaced one bath a week with a five-minute shower... Does this mean they only bathe ONCE a week? (I'm not really sure I want to know.)
And is that one bath for the entire family per week? You really could toss the baby out with the bathwater because you could never find the tyke in there.

Royalty are a protected class....wasn't his ancestor George III a nut case? And don't forget the royalty lives in century old homes that have lead paint and piping.
Charles and Sharon Crowe have this thing about not being as hygienic as possible. I find his mother and sons to be OK, though. His father is a mean nut, heard some of his comments from phone conservations which, apparently, can be taped and distributed in England

Actually, 5 to 15 pounds converts (roughly) to 8 to 23 dollars.

once living in an arid area for a time, the old saying was, conserve water, shower with a friend Sorry, those showers usually end up taking more time than two separate showers. Not that I'm complaining.
