I read the article yesterday. Emailed to a couple of people. I find the doom and gloom stuff strangely entertaining...
I found that weird, too, but I don’t smell anything but that Drudge thought people might find it interesting. He’s posted countless articles of interest, and now and then something that’s not from the usual sources—so what? I like peering at these weirdo sites. And sometimes you can find an interesting new source.
Not sure...note that Drudge already has links to some of the most Liberal commentators and websites...maybe him and his webmasters wanted to link to something kooky
Not surprising at all. The call for a second revolution is getting louder and louder.
I thought it was a pretty good article.
I thought similarly. But Drudge has linked to Alex Jones’ website before.
I am sorry, but I don’t see anything “fringe” about the talk and/or consideration of a possible revolution/civil war. It saddens me to think that it might happen, but I can see the shadows of it growing everyday. And I am not the only one even those of the right and/or conservatives aren’t the only ones that see what could be coming.
Pat Caddell: Democratic Pollster Warns of Pre-Revolutionary Anger Levels
Do you not think a revolution may be coming?
Eh, it was posted here at least twice, plus whatever duplicates were erased.
I noticed also he started linking to Alex Jones’ Prison Planet website as well... he is either losing it or trying to expand his audience to include the nut demographic.
Lots of paleoconservative talking points.
Jesse Ventura’s Conspiracy Theories program on TLC has taken a lot of what Jones covers on his radio show daily, to a whole new audience.
Notice those words such as Empire Builders and world hegemony, and the title Ecstasy of Empire
The doctrine emerged as the Wolfowitz doctrine when Paul Wolfowitz was defense undersecretary to Cheney during the GHW Bush administration.
You may not recall but Paul Craig Roberts, the author, constantly complained about the NeoCons when they were running GW Bush's foreign policy.
A lot of people agree with Roberts about the NeoCons.
As Obama’s friends say, “you don’t have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing.”
What's so kooky about that? Thomas Jefferson......
"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ... And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."
It’s certainly achieved one accomplishment. People are talking about Drudge more than they would if he hadn’t posted the link.
What rock have you been living under?
Sure, it's kooky, that's why he linked -- but Roberts is not unknown.
