Former governor Rod Blagojevich was found guilty on only one of 24 counts against him. The jury appears hung on the others.
The guilty verdict was on Count 24: providing false statements to officers. After the reading, the jury was thanked and asked to return to the jury room.

Before the verdict was read, Judge Zagel said that there may not be verdicts in all 24 counts with which Blagojevich is charged -- and that any counts dealing with forfeiture will be dealt with on Wednesday morning.

A weak case, intertwined defendants, confusing jury instructions, and “over-selling” the circumstances of the arrest (crime spree) overlayed by the fact the two real principals in the case (Emanual & Rezko) were MIA = odd verdict. Not surprised....it is “politics as usual” in Illinois. Fitz needs to go. He has been held up as such a great prosecutor, and he seems to fall on his face more often than not. One thing is for sure, I think I heard a loud sigh of relief from the White Crib.
Can you imagine if every politician that has lied was put into prison? We’d have to fence of Texas to hold them all!
Ridiculous waste of tax-payer money so Obama can cover his rear-end and Fitz can get another wilted feather in his cap.

One would think they would learn. Never, ever talk to the police for any reason unless you are pointing out the direction of a fleeing felon. Stupid people talk to the police. Scooter Libbey must have had some reason - he knows better.
You bet he was a fall guy. The feds jumped the gun on this one to protect Obama, Jackson Jr., and emmanuel. Politics as usual in Illinois.
