It is oppressing them. It is denying them rights based on what one group of people, christians, think is a sin.

Then you IMMEDIATELY turn around and say that gays are being oppressed.
Funny, I don't know of any groups of gays that were ensleaved in the southern cotton fields.
I don't know of any groups of gays that were forced to build the pyramids in Egypt, or stomp mud into bricks, etc etc etc.
