If I have heard the n-word 1000 times in my life, 998 of the times it was from a black.
Because our “race” is not an issue in our everyday life.
No one has told us for generations that it should be our focus.
From your fingers to Gods ears! ;)
Until my black neighbor got married and settled down he used to be on his cell phone outside frequently and spoke loudly. He spoke a strange ghetto language that I was only able to describe as “niggamofo”, based on the most common words he used in every conversation.
He is actually a great neigbor and has given me help a few times, but I am so glad wifey has calmed him down and I don’t hear that talk anymore.
ROTFSMAO!
Look using the N- word is like guys that use Mother F-—er, if their tight friends out drinking it can be affection, you call a someone you don’t know the your going to get a black eye
I’ve used it all my life and I don’t give a damn what anyone thinks!
The F-word is wrong, but I can use it with impunity, because I’m a whore.
It is an offensive word/term, meant to shock. That’s why rappers, comedians, etc. use it. It is unlikely it will ever cease to be an offensive word. Although if over-used enough it can take the sting out of it. Just look at “racist” — it has become almost funny, a badge of honor even, to be called racist by a ‘lib. Means they really have run out of useful debating points...
“If she is going to try an make an issue of this, she will lose.”
She did try to make an issue out of it, and what she said makes sense. But she has already lost.
Liberal white people are always calling blue collar white people “crackers.” Also “rednecks” and other slurs. And don’t forget all those ethnic slurs from one white ethnic group to another.
Hey, the esteemed Senator Robert C. Byrd used the N word at least twice in a national interview with the wonderful late Tony Snow. Did he catch any grief in the mainstream media?
Wow. Dr. Laura said that word a lot. She sure wasn’t niggardly in her use of it.
If I hear the n-word spoken and turn around to see who said it, which am I most likely to see:
A. A white racist
B. A black
C. A black rapper
D. A suburban white kid, pretending to be a black rapper
'Course not!
Nor is it okay to read The Nigger of the Narcissus by Joseph Conrad nor the brilliant short story by Flannery O'Connor, The Artifical Nigger.
Probably best to stop reading the classics. Period. For the children, ya know...
“If black folks didnt use that word it would have fallen into the ashbin of linguistic history by now.”
That’s absolutely true, THEY won’t let it go away.
“And nowadays, both the words “fag” and “cigarette” are considered to be “offensive.” “
And donning gay apparel is more appropriate for Project Runway than for the yuletide season.
Things are looking rather dark for her. I hope she isn’t spooked by all of this criticism. She has to learn that it is a jungle out there.
I caught Rick Sanchez(?) getting frazzled over this issues. He must have spent a good 45 minutes moaning and groaning over it and likely had to take meds to make it through the show. He was the most pathetic sight during the few times I switched over CNN to see if he was still agonized over Dr. Laura. Actually it was pathetic and funny at the same time. Sanchez is such a loser.
