I recall the original threads, the hoax vs. real, and thread being pulled.
None of the major media, including local (Laredo) media seemed to have the story. I pulled up Laredo newspaper, TV and some streaming radio websites and tuned in to some broadcasts. None of them even made mention of the incident.
Of course, this happened during the time the new AZ immigration law was the hot topic. Thus, it is understandable that the compliant liberal MSM would NOT want to make mention of another incursion elsewhere, since at least one had already occurred in AZ.
The media in south Texas is a joke. Also, consider that on the Mexican side of the border, the drug gangs kill journalists (print or electronic) who cover and investigate the crimes committed by drug gangs.
Let me start by saying that I'm very skeptical about this story. Very. That being said, the Laredo media, having seen any number of Mexican Journalists machine gunned, or beheaded, is pretty gun shy about this sort of story. I have a friend in Laredo, whom I send links to, about Mexican Drug Cartel stories. He says that the Times and Daily Telegraph, both of London,write better stories about Mexican Drug Cartels than does the Laredo Morning News. But... much as I hesitate to praise the Express-News, (San Antonio), it would cover this story, if it was real, and has not.
