Pro-Life Actress Patricia Neal of Hud Fame Dies, Regretted Her Abortion
Washington, DC -- Pro-life actress, Patricia Neal, died at age 84 on Sunday. She had been suffering from lung cancer and was surrounded by her family at her home in Massachusetts. Neal is best known for her Oscar-winning portrayal of a housekeeper in the 1963 movie, Hud, with Paul Newman.

I think the movie bombed when it came out (unlike the book) and has become a cult classic now.

All the more reason to be pro-life, if you’ve gone thru the hell of an abortion and a lifetime of remorse.

Abortion is in no uncertain terms the killing of innocent human life. I would expect any clear thinking individual to recognize the absolute tragedy of terminating the human at its infancy. No one knows for sure what would have become of the lost soul, but no doubt the love and unpredictability would have been abundant.
We cannot turn the clock backwards, so I look with optimism towards the future. It’s not for me to forgive, but I certainly realize forgiveness exists for those who pray for it.
Amen! I can’t imagine what something like that must do to a person and how that decision must weigh on ones soul forever. Even knowing that asking for forgiveness absolves you how do you ever forgive yourself?
Two of my favorites. She played Dominique Francon as well as could be expected, and Gary Cooper was pretty darn good as Howard Roark. (It's tough to play Ayn Rand characters). She had a strong screen presence without overacting.
In Harms Way. Was one of better flics. Not a big part but a great movie.
it always amazes me how judgemental some ‘Christians’ can be.
I doubt there’s one person on earth, including me, who has enough information on anyone else to opine how God will receive - or not - someone.
I suspicion we’d all be kept too busy for that if we spend the time we should on worrying about our own actions...

I know several women who have many regrets over an abortion. At the time of their pregnancy, they had no family support system and felt it was the only option. In fact, one woman I know has a “secret” type day of mourning each year(based on when she would have had the baby). The woman who started the whole Roe v Wade court case also regretted her decision. There are support groups specifically for women who had an abortion and later need therapy over that decision. Just a thought
She did a lot with that part, though. The classic "fade to black" scene with her slipping off her shoes is one of the classiest ever put on film.

You are right. I just said I couldn’t imagine (although I am a guy...lol). By the way the women behind Roe vs. Wade never had an abortion because the judgement came way after the birth....isn’t that the craziest thing.

Poor thing. I wish the young and unexpectedly pregnant can know how long “for the rest of your life” is after you do something like that. RIP.

I know many women who have committed infanticide, gone on to regret it, and become fierce fighters for the rights of babies.
