It looks like Mark is gone. More info in the link. (I just used the first paragraph, not completely sure what our rules are for the WSJ.)

“resign” = a political correct polite way of saying “fired”.

He is a good CEO but maybe not a good person. Compared to the Kennedys and most polictians - Hurd is probably an angel.

I worked for HP under Hurd.. I was layed off after 29 years 9 months - 87 days away from full retirement.. Didn’t get so much as a thank you..
Mark can kiss my a$$.. and, no, I will not hire him in the business I started..

from article "He helped the company retake leadership in the PC market from Dell Inc. and used acquisitions to expand into new areas, such as computer services." I have not been impressed with HP stuff, or to be more blunt, Sh!t, Basically he help HP sell more Sh!t then Dell, Obama will probably hire him as his next campaign manager.

Mr. Hurd must be very smart.
Smart enough to have skipped first grade!
In first grade, they teach that boys have to learn to keep their pee-pee’s in their pants.
He missed that lesson!

The rumor is Hurd's parachute is $40 million and HP agrees not to pursue any legal avenue.

Maybe they’ll re-hire Carly Fiorina.
