It seems the original intent is clear on NBC. The founders didn't trust someone to be president if one or both parents were citizens of another country. It makes a lot of sense to me on the heels of the revolutionary war.

Look at the suspicions today about OB. Is he a moslem and helping them to further their world conquest. Doesn't he have a foreign disposition about US history and culture, devleoped by his father and being educated elsewhere. It seems to me on many occasions he is about 2 standard deviations off on the way he sees traditional American experiences.

Yet if that was the intent of the founders, they did not mention this supposed requirement for both parents to be citizens. The Constitution says “natural born citizen”, it says nothing about the citizenship status of the parents; and at the time of our founding almost all of our founders were British citizens and the children of British citizens (thus they were grandfathered in).

It wouldn't have taken much to say “a natural born citizen and the child of two citizens” in the Constitution, and yet you seem convinced that they omitted this requirement that they most certainly meant to include.

I don't think their view of natural law was such that if one was born in America, with parentage that was British; that one would necessarily be loyal to Britain - the founders certainly were not loyal to Britain!

0bama never really knew his father. His radicalism was taught to him by his mother and grandparents, all radical socialist/Marxists; and his friends and associates, all radical Communists and/or terrorists.
