Everyone says how smart the Founding Fathers were.

They sure were, but I think some of the smartest things they thought, and they were right 100% about, were things we have rejected, to our country’s peril....

Women gave up a LOT when they decided to reject the biblical model of male headship.

This article points out that this is the way women are made by their Creator - to expect to be provided for and protected, first by their father and then by their husband.

The man was intended to be the representative of the family to the outside world. Of course, that only lasted a couple of chapters before becoming corrupted.
