BOISE U.S. House hopeful Raul Labradors cash-strapped campaign has moved to downtown Boise to conserve resources, setting up a new headquarters outside the congressional district he wants to represent.
The penny-saving move underscores Labradors difficulty in fundraising compared to his Democratic rival, U.S. Rep. Walt Minnick, who has more than $1 million on hand and holds a 16-to-1 cash advantage.
Labrador, a two-term Republican state lawmaker, opened his campaign headquarters in Eagle in June, a month after he upset decorated Iraq veteran Vaughn Ward to clinch the Idaho primary in late May.
Labrador is now challenging Minnick for Idahos 1st Congressional District seat, though his new campaign home at the GOP Victory office in downtown Boise is in Idahos 2nd Congressional District.

1. With Labrador at such a financial disadvantage, does it suggest that the voters in this district are cool to Labrador after the GOP primary?
2. How the hell did Minnick get a 7-figure war chest? (kind of a rhetorical question I suppose) Who has donated to him?
Well, the Tea Parties supported him, for one. Don't know why they made such a dunderheaded move.
Me neither. Ward would have crushed Minnick.
There is still a perception extant that Labrador is pro-amnesty. I haven’t seen or heard any proof either way, but that issue needs to be addressed.
Also, maybe many aren’t aware that he needs $$ and might want to contribute to his campaign, if only to help get rid of “Blue Dog” Minnick.

I’m considering contributing, but I’m also kind of in limbo right now as I might be moving out of state in the next few months or so and I may need every dime I have to pay for moving expenses.
Might send some cash his way once I get settled as a kind of parting gift to the congressional district of my birth. :)
Where are you headed?
Might be headed to Salt Lake. I’m up for a job there, am supposed to find out about it sometime in the next week or so.
Boise is not in his district?
Minnick has offices in Boise.

Good luck.
