A semiofficial Iranian news agency says Iran has obtained four S-300 surface-to-air missiles despite Russia's refusal to deliver them.
The Fars news agency said Wednesday that Iran has obtained two missiles from Belarus and two others from another unspecified source.
Russia signed a contract in 2007 to sell the missiles to Iran but said in June that new UN Security Council sanctions against Tehran prevent delivery. The sale would have substantially boosted the country's defense capacities, raising Israeli fears it would tip the military balance in the Middle East.

Unclear what the article means by "four missiles." I am assuming they mean four actual platforms, as shown in the photo. Interesting development, if true, since Israel has pegged the acquisition/implementation of the missile system as one of their red lines.
Ping for your ME list.

Could be disinformation by the Iranians to provoke Israel. However, I think you’re right, considering the quickly developing events in the region over the past few days.

Tea? I suspect that if Iran actually managed to procure these systems, they had outside help. Maybe the O itself.
Im sure the ones that Obama kisses arse with; Russia and China

Baku has been moving away from the United States. Recently, Baku cancelled joint maneuvers with the U.S. military. At the same time Azerbaijan has been increasing its cooperation with Iran and Russia on energy and other matters. Beyond this, rhetoric from high level Baku officials has become progressively more anti-American. Though US policy makers have sought to discount the significance of these signals, there is little doubt that US Azerbaijani relations are undergoing a change for the worse. The questions are why and what can be done.

ROAR: Building air defense shield in Azerbaijan is in Russias interests
Russias arms exporter denies selling S-300 air defense systems to Azerbaijan, as the contract on supplying such weapons to Iran remains in limbo.
Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport has denied a Vedomosti daily report that the company has sold S-300 surface-to-air missile systems to Azerbaijan. The business paper speculated the company would supply S-300 systems to arm two battalions according to a deal allegedly signed in 2009.

Jane's Defense Systems News reported as far back as in January 2008 that Tehran was in the final stages of negotiations with Belarus for the acquisition of two surplus trailer-mounted towed S-300PT systems.
These outdated systems were deployed near Minsk and Belarus allegedly asked $140 mln for the two systems (including parts, maintenance and training).
The actual sale has never been confirmed. Belarus has no right to resell air defense systems supplied by the Soviet Union and later the Russian Federation.
Russia signed a contract on supplying Iran with at least five S-300 systems in December 2005, but the contract’s implementation has so far been delayed.
Soon, once Tehran & Damascus issues orders to Hezballah, to deliberately incite war against Israel on her northern front, along with Iran's other Islamic terrorist proxies, infesting Gaza on Israel's southern border.
The question is, will the Bear remain in Russia, (her vast grain belt burning up) or directly participate against Israel and the West once Moscow's Mid-East Arab/Islamic client states have plunged the entire region into war?
Thanks AdmSmith!
