I believe that we have learned that Mr. Obama does not care to do this. He probably won’t change his mind. Of course, any thoughts on why he might be behaving this way is pure conjecture, but theories abound.
I personally favor the one that revolves around his life in Indonesia with his step father and the possibility that he may have once held an Indonesian passport and renewed it after his 18th birthday thereby inadvertently surrendering his citizenship. That’s a good one. Could be true and would certainly explain all the the machinations that he has gone through to destroy, hide, conceal all of these records. Is it true? I have no idea. Apparently, hard evidence is hard to come by, which one would expect given the lengths that Obama has gone to to hide the facts of his early life.
So, we are left with the failed efforts of incompetent lawyers and shysters, the half baked theories of the birther crowd who will launch personal attacks on anyone who questions their cockamamie theories. If Obama set out to conceal the truth, it looks like he has succeeded. I guess that just leaves us with the 2012 elections.
I seriously doubt the Framers intended the child of an alien and a citizen to be considered “natural born.” You do raise a good point about Indonesia though.
