Count me among those whod really like to get a good long look at Barack Obamas college transcripts not because I think they would provide evidence for any of the crazy conspiracy talk that infests the fringes of our political discourse, but simply because I want to know what the man studied and what his grades were.
For instance, Id like to know whether he took any economics and how he did in those classes. Im also curious about what his literary studies were: especially, Id like to know whether the man who wrote two self-important memoirs before hed done much of anything interesting with his life is sufficiently conversant with the concept of hubris that he might take a moment for self-examination because, as the economy slows and the government debt stacks up, the hubris is not the only thing around here looking Greek and tragic.
Obama has admitted he wasn't a very good student, which probably means he was a HORRIBLE student. And, I think the question about what economics classes he took is a good one. I'd bet the farm he didn't take any math, accounting or economics classes.
Obama — The Peter Principle in action. (Too polite to say afirmative action symbol.)
Goodness me. Studying and showing quality work are for LITTLE PEOPLE...kind of like paying taxes.
I’m pretty sure I heard somewhere that Obama was the smartest president ever.
I don’t think it really matters. Stupid, misguided people graduate college every day. I doubt his grades were terrible IF he was in Harvard Law Review. I don’t think he’s dumb. I just think he’s socialist.
ODH, you are a lawyer. I’m sure you’ve met plenty of losers that have graduated law school.
College transcripts should be the very first thing we look at whenever a person runs for president.
Community organizing 101, 102, 103....
Das Kapital.....turning pie into mud.....
The Communist Manifesto - I too can controle YOUR wealth....
A bit irritating. He wants to see the transcripts, but he wants everyone to know he's not crazy like me. My reasons for wanting to see them are crazy, sure, but not his.
Whatever. The point is, the guy isn't going to release them and you can be sure he has a very good reason for not releasing them.
No. Birth certificates should be.
I believe we would find very mediocre grades. This is not the reason they have not been released. The reason is simply because he was enrolled as a foreign exchange student.
Sometimes people who don’t make good grades, know how to surround themselves with people who have a lot of smarts. This time, it appears he didn’t do this either.
I’m sure Obama got very good grades. And I’d be willing to bet that Obama’s grades were awarded to him based on the same criteria the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to him.
He excelled in “Bush Blaming 101”.
True that.
But, I do think it matters if for no other reason than the principle of transparency. No, the Founding Fathers didn't demand that "transcripts" be released when running for President. But, they didn't demand that tax return and copious financial statements be released either, as is now required by law.
Lastly, there is a LONG record in the modern era of the media demanding that presidential aspirants release their government records, like the military record. Obama was the least vetted candidate to hold that office in the modern age, and the media should be shamed for allowing it.
“..., as the economy slows and the government debt stacks up, the hubris is not the only thing around here looking Greek and tragic.”
Well, he really was, culturally and educationally, a foreigner and only technically an American by birth, at best.
I agree with what you are saying but I don’t know if I was ever concerned with the last 4 president’s grades.
I have 3 degrees, and my grades were mediocre. That said, I would make a much better president than Obozo. His acqaintences and extra-curriculars are much more telling.
See. I can’t even spell. LOL..
