The federal bench giveth
and the federal bench taketh away. Federal judge Henry Hudson has refused to dismiss a challenge from Virginia on the constitutionality of the individual mandate in ObamaCare. The case will have to move to trial, and could imperil the entire overhaul:
A judge on Monday refused to dismiss the state of Virginias challenge to President Barack Obamas landmark healthcare law, a setback that will force his administration to mount a lengthy legal defense of the overhaul effort.
U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson refused to dismiss the states lawsuit which argues the laws requirement that its residents have health insurance was unconstitutional, allowing the challenge to go forward.

Good luck with “Proposition C” this week. I hope more than any single issue to get this “health care” law declared unconstitutional. I would feel better if some of our congressmen or senators would be talking about repealing it while running for reelection.

Both Cuchinelli in VA and Gov Brewer are on Facebook. We can go there tell them of our support.

I just had a question regarding Prop C. If we vote “Yes” on Prop C (which is what we should vote if we’re agains’t Obama Care [worked the phones from RNC on Saturday]), does that mean that all federal funding for the state Medicaid Program is cut off? Anybody know?

I just saw the grey muzzle and didn’t look more closely. Looks like him otherwise, but his snowy white mane should have given it away. Maybe the artist was taking poetic liberties? Thanks for correcting me.

See, that's what the person who asked me about it was concerned about. He's so against Obamacare, but he's afraid the federal funding would be cut off and he thinks Missouri can't afford to offer Medicaid assistance without it. Of course, those on Medicaid would be screaming, but they would be screaming at those who voted against Obamacare for causing them to lose the federal funding and, in essence, their assistance entirely due to no money in the till in Jefferson City. I honestly couldn't answer the question, but thought I'd heard the White House and Congress are playing hardball. They're saying, “Fine, go ahead and vote against it and see how you like going it without federal funding of Medicaid.” I couldn't honestly answer, so I do my usual when I realize I'm out of my league — I shut up and sit down and find someone who isn't.
